Noticed that the character portraits change expressions during the fight. Little things like that make me happy.
Because it's not really that difficult if you don't try to over-complicate things. Shin Budokai 2's story wouldn't have been so bad had they not tried to work every playable character into the story mode.Rocketman wrote:The guys who made the fucking anime couldn't write an original Dragonball story to save their lives. All looks interesting to me, but definitely not impressive, at least not until I see more. The image of Vegeta using his signature move looks very awkward. His limbs are a bit too long for him to match the anime counterpart, plus his body doesn't illuminate as vigorously. The beam struggle looks pretty different, in a good way.DominatorLost wrote:Time for the miserable git to give his opinion!
These honestly don't look so impressive at all.
That, and his arm is coming through his shoulder armor.kvon wrote:All looks interesting to me, but definitely not impressive, at least not until I see more. Edit- HOWEVER, these all look like something that any previous-gen consoles can handle. Just look at the graphics of some of the latest PS2 games, they can easily triumph Burst Limit's graphics. The "shockwave" (?) from the beam struggle looks the best, graphic-wise, so far IMO.
Sure, you would be cool to mention this. (Just playing around with ya) Like the icons in "Legends", right? I think Goku's change of expression came from using Kaioken, like in the original Budokai. Expressions would be really awsome, though.Freeza93 wrote:I think i would be cool if the pictures of the character on the health bars looked like they were screaming in the beam struggle, that would be pretty cool.
You can't look at a screen shot and come to the conclusion that a game could be done on the previous generation of consoles. There may be (*and obviously is, since this game is PS3/360 only..) much more going on than what you can see in the picture. I personally can't see the PS2 handling this based on what I've seen throughout it's life. If it came to PS2, it would probably be like the Dynasty Warriors Gundam (PS3->PS2 port) situation. A severely downgraded PS2 game, an (IMO) pretty good looking PS3 game. I just wanted to clear that up, since I've seen an uncountable number of people everywhere saying what you said. There isn't a PS2 game that could even touch this IMO (seriously, what?), but I'll wait until I have the full version so that the PS2 has a fair chance *chuckle*.VariantX wrote:kvon wrote:All looks interesting to me, but definitely not impressive, at least not until I see more. I agree. Sarcasm was used to a certain extent when I implied that the PS2 can handle this game. Since I watched the trailer a few weeks before, I am very aware of limitations of these screen shots. Maybe I'll put half a sarcasm emoticon for these kind of comments. Don't get me wrong, though, as I am one of those who can't wait to play the game.Sasuke_Chidori wrote:You can't look at a screen shot and come to the conclusion that a game could be done on the previous generation of consoles. Anyways, I think the new screen shots look pretty good. I kinda like the "Power Struggle" screen shot. Hopefully that bubble effect is only temporary during a power struggle, though.
