His face is pretty cool. But I'm not buying that Batman upper suit.

But I guess people will love it because he's green. Good for them.

If the ears were a bit pointier and he the antennae...I guess that would about spot on. I wish his cloths resembled his Gi from the Manga instead of battle armor but he looks cool enough. Marsters will probably be the best thing about this movie.

It's a set photo.

I'm pretty sure if DB was translated perfectly, it would look even more like Power Rangers.

Am I the only one that thinks the fight scenes in Power Rangers are actually kinda cool. I happened to see an episode from one of the more recent series when I was running at my gym, and fights looked crazy.

I'm pretty sure the "batman" armor was designed to make Marsters look muscular, and that's it, cause he is a scrawny guy in real life.

I just hope for the possible Z sequel, they make Justin Chatwin lift like crazy, he needs to be at least as built as Tobey Maguire was in Spiderman 1.

I don't think perfectly-translated Dragonball would look like Power Rangers. I think perfectly-translated Dragonball on a very small budget would look like Power Rangers.

Couldn't you say the same thing about Batman, Hellboy, The X-men, and Spider-Man in their respective movies?

Or any set photo, really.

And it's not much of an insult when Akira Toriyama made the Ginyu Force.

Movie Piccolo kinda looks like a reoccurring monster the Power Rangers would fight. Batman, Spider-Man, the X-Men, and Hellboy... not so much.

But you're assuming that he meant "It's morphin' time!" in a negative way.

Well, that'd be a matter of perspective concerning what you want out of a Dragonball move but...

It wouldn't have come to mind if I wasn't a fan, back in the day. :)

So you've seen the Chinese movie!

But in all seriousness, Dragonball has some ridiculous looking characters that no matter what they would do with them to make them look as close as possible, would still look ridiculous on any budget.

On another note, I am actually happy they made Goku older, solely because Kid Actors are ALWAYS horrible. Well, maybe not always, but I can't think of any good Kid acting that I could liken at all to Goku.

He looks like something you'd see in any other Sci-Fi/Comic Book movie. The Green Goblin looked like something out of Power Rangers. Hellboy didn't look that much better than Piccolo. Dr. Doom looked like something out of Power Rangers. I mean if you don't want them to look like Power Ranger bad guys and stuff you have to make them look more realistic. Which is what they did.

I didn't really mean it as an insult, that's sincerely what popped into my head when I saw him.
If you think that means something bad, then it's bad. If not, then you must've liked Power Rangers too!

You had it right the first time, they're horrible 100% of the time. It really "grinds my gears" when people say kids like Dakota Fanning are good actors, seriously.... I mean seriously. That kid has absolutely ZERO talent and people make her out to be some kind of prodigy.

Let me point out specifically what I mean.

This style is what I want!

This style seems to be a more accurate reflection of what we're getting, though.

That's about the most accurate and summed-up version of how I view this whole ordeal that I can give anyone.

I really don't wanna see Dragonball go through its very own "emo phase."

LOL, especially in the MMPR Movie.

But I don't love this Piccolo, but it's certainly looking to be the best part of the Movie. I can get by the terrible suit because he's green and from what we've seen looks to be portrayed at least half-decent.
