Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
Out of sheer curiosity, does this game use Japanese attack names exclusively or almost exclusively for the techniques? Or are some of them in their dub incarnations. For instance, would "Special Beam Cannon" or "Makankosappo" be used?

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
As much as I HATE it, and as much as it should be in here from their dub of Kai, I know for one thing that Special Beam Cannon's in there.
I don't know about Taiyo-Ken, Kienzan, or anything else is.

I bought the game for $56 from newegg with free shipping, awaiting the game's arrival.

If "Special Beam Cannon" is being used, then I think it's safe to assume that the other dub attack names will be aswell. Which is a shame, I thought FUNimation has moved on.gotensottile wrote:As much as I HATE it, and as much as it should be in here from their dub of Kai, I know for one thing that Special Beam Cannon's in there.

Just finished watching the special, overall very nicely done. A few frames here and there of shoddy animation but I can deal. Other than the inclusion of the movie, the game is very meh. "Galaxy Mode" in place of story mode is a poor choice imo. I know some gripe about playing the same old story again and again, but even that would be light years better than this.

Yea, sometimes it seems you fight people at random with no explanation. Like why would Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta fight Raditz and Nappa, I'm sure anyone here could think of a story for that! But no. You just go into it, and this is how it is when you fight in anybody's galaxy.backthen wrote:than the inclusion of the movie, the game is very meh. backthen, if it is meh, should one consider buying this at all? Would someone be better off keeping RB1? Unless a big DB fan would enjoy this, period.... cause I don't want to get something that is poop.
So there isn't a story mode at all. I loved the Budokai 2 story, they should do something like that; you can keep away from the regular same old story.Yea, sometimes it seems you fight people at random with no explanation. My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

Yeah, just feels like a big piece of filler so the game wasn't just a movie and online battle.Tanooki Kuribo wrote:Yea, sometimes it seems you fight people at random with no explanation. I only picked it up for the movie that was included. There is no "story", Galaxy Mode is just random battle after random battle with weird objectives such as "Kill the enemy in 120 seconds" or " Kill him with 2 health bars left". Just random nonsense imo. Unless you really really want to see the new film before Funimation possibly releases it, there is no reason to get this game.Attitudefan wrote:backthen, if it is meh, should one consider buying this at all? Exactly. The gameplay is far superior to RB1. It comes with way more combo options and still includes the ones from RB1. The graphics are way better imo and the attacks and explosions look more vivid.
Apart from that Galaxy Mode is indeed quite lame. It would have been infinitely better if they kept the true story or invented something not this random and useless at least.
BT3 off meds | The final fight
Ah, the Alpha and the Omega. As all life was created from Chaos...so shall it be DESTROYED!!!
The wails of machines | Singing cold harmony | Shifting air upward | Entranced by the breeze | Light pours like blood | Into a cosmic sea | Of stars crystallized | In a frozen symphony
Vegetto kicking you into orbit theme

Well dispite having no story mode. I found the game to be pretty fun. It might be cause I been away from DB games for so long and can't really compare it to anyting else but, I enjoyed it.InfernalVegito wrote:Apart from that Galaxy Mode is indeed quite lame. The only things I didn't like were the battles where you had to win by doing something stupid like, with this one mission in the Vegeta Galaxy. I have to kill #16, #17 and #18 without getting hit once. You start off with like one grain of health so anything would kill you. The other thing I didn't like was the camera, it can be a little shitty sometimes.

Wait, people are still complaining about the no story mode, after years of people asking for no story mode? LOL.

Also, couldn't you look up his voice actor the same way you did for Hatchiyack?
Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
Pretty sure Tarble is voiced by Todd Haberkorn.

I really like his English voice. Pretty much how I imagined it to be.
Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
That's what I said. It sounds a lot like Todd's natural voice.JulieYBM wrote:Pretty sure Tarble is voiced by Todd Haberkorn.
