Hit has a similar face to Cell and literally nothing else, that's one hell of a stretch.

Future trunks is a rehash---"oh look my timeline sucks please come save it again." He should have never ever been re-introduced.

Trunks comes from his messed up future, that's where the similarities begin and end with this arc compared to the Androids arc. Trunks's goal is completely different between the two arcs, the state of his world is different, the villains are completely different in appearance, goals and origins.

Goku black is some fan fic idea made real--although I really loved Goku Black-- it still don't make sense.

Evil doppelgangers are not an idea exclusive to fanfics, it's a common trope in fiction. How does Goku Black not make sense? They explain him pretty well.
Goku Black is no less fanficy than the super powerful son of two characters who have had zero hint of any romance between them coming back from the future and effortlessly killing the last main villain.

I'm not talking about him being a look alike but just the idea of "metal" man/robot annoys me. Personal preference. I hate U3.

I don't like making long posts so I'll make this quick: My point was that this show has run out of new ideas. Everything was "been there seen that" kind of feel whether new to the universe or overused concept--Tournaments-- two so far in this series. It doesn't feel new to me. The designs were reminiscent of other themes from prior, maybe that's the charm of DB and I'm totally missing the point. I just expected something else. With each passing arc in DBZ there was something bigger and badder than before. Super had that when they introduced the GoD, but after that it kind of fell flat for a number reasons I've already mentioned. I know we won't agree on this so I'm not going to belabor the point. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. The designs fall flat and the story has been stalling for some time in the "between" End of Majin Buu and EOZ.

I'm getting a crude 5 year old's rendition of a female super saiyan kind of vibe from her...I'm assuming it's the distinguishing factor from U7 though. Larger pupils. I'm not a fan of it!

The art is nice but it definitely has a more kid friendly vibe than the original SSJ Transformation art wise. Not that SSJ wasnt kid friendly in Z...it just looked more adult where she looks like a Half-Chibi Saiyan.

That's what it is...you nailed it right on the head. I couldn't quite put a finger on what's so different about these U6 Saiyans.

Yeah its the opposite of our saiyans when they transform, Goku,Vegeta,Gohan and Trunks looks sort of intimidating (minus Goten and Kid Trunks) when they go SSJ, Cabba, Cauli represents the new gen saiyans (DBS gen saiyans, U6 saiyans) or whatever you call them. Well at least Kale probably wouldnt look chibi when transformed, rather she'd make everyone look chibi compared to her. I like the art since she's a female SSJ and our very first one so her having huge pupils doesnt bother me, rather it looks cool.

Three of the Saiyan race avatars (Viola, Erito and Forte) in Heroes have eyes just like that. Note also has huge irises but she has round eyes like Pan and Bulma.

No offense, but they're no new ideas in fiction. Everything has been done before to one extent or another. Like what ideas are you thinking of that hasn't already been done before somewhere else?

But an universe with cyborgs and robots is new to Dragon Balls. That and the magical girl parody. Personal preference aside, these are new to the series.
