I think Toriyama for once likes to work on DB.

He actually said that in an interview and the reason is because he doesn't have to do everything on his own like before which means he isn't overworked so hopefully he can write enough to cover 200+ episodes.

I'm hoping it'll be 26-52 episodes, that'd be the perfect, concise amount to me

The author's mewlings two decades after the work is completed do not matter.

If Toriyama ever decides to retcon the end of the series, then that would be very dangerously close to what George Lucas did to Star Wars.

If that's right, then it's pretty absurd, because Cell Games Gohan was definitely taller and a bit "sharper" in the face, and they are the around the same age, if not older.

Nothing new, Goku and Gohan already had discrepancies in their age/growth rates.
Every Saiyan seems to stall for years and have a sudden growth, but not at the same age. Goku is still the one who grew up the latest for now. (somewhere between 15 and 18 - training with God -, isn't it?).
Gohan is the one who had it the earliest, stalling for years and suddenly growing in less than one year in the Time Chamber.

When will the trailer be out ?

Possibly tomorrow (or in a few hours) when the official website gets updated, but that's not even sure.
We don't know what the annouced update is about, it could be simply pictures from this short preview for example.

But let's hope for a longer trailer/preview with characters saying more than "wait for July 5th to see the new series".

From what I read when a series is put on a 9am block it's intended to run for as long as possible so if Toriko and the first Kai managed to reach 98 and 150 with how bad they were doing then there's no doubt that if this does good it'll go way above that especially if Toriyama has stories to tell.

And hopefully solid look at the timeline placement. IF (big if) first few episodes are recaps or just 'transition stage' and then we skip to, say, 1 year before EOZ for the remaining 30/40 episodes, then one would expect key visual to reflect that -1 pre-EOZ placement. I mean, it wouldn't make sense for key visual to depict just a few recap/transition episodes. And if it shows what we saw in the trailer then yeah, see all next year for any hope the show will move past the movie period

History of Trunks was Age 780 (he was 14)- apparently RoF is on Age 779 and BoG is Age 778.

13/14 years old is right around the time of age he would experience a growth spurt. So we might see History of Trunks sized Trunks in Super but not right away - if this takes place between BoG and Revival of F, we might not see his growth spurt. You won't even need a timeskip for it. Ideally you would see noticeable change in height as the spurt progresses but when has an Anime series like Dragon Ball ever get realistic like that?

As far as I know he doesn't appear in Revival of F. Maybe there is a reason for this?

And as I've said many times before - so what? If the original author of something wants to come out and say 'Oh hey, this one part wasn't really the way I now think it should go, so how about this' then they are in their full right to do so. It's their product. They can do with it as they wish.

That said however, it would still then be up to each individual fan whether they want to take the new changes/material/etc. as a replacement, or if they want to ignore it in favor of the original. Nobody's holding a gun to your head saying you have to accept retcons, and griping about them to the level that a lot of people do only serves to prove that you apparently care more about what the original author has to say than you claim.

I agree with what dbzfan7 said earlier about using the Foe option to filter out some responses you don't want to see, I've already done so with some users, but the fact that I would have to block a good 10+ people if I wanted to remove all vitrolic bullshit is, quite frankly, disgusting and distressing both.

It's only 10:40am in Japan right now, so...sometime soon.

I seem to be in the minority of people who liked that bit of Super's theme song. Way better than that Momoiro Clover Z song from F anyways.

It does seem to sound a lot more mature than both Kai OPs, which i think is a good change of pace.
I'm glad Toei isn't trying to push the horrible Momoiro this time, too.

This is true, they could've stuck us with another idol band (or the same idol band, either way). I have to hear at least the first verse of it to make a preliminary judgement though; 15 seconds is nothing. Even Amazon gives you 30 seconds of preview on songs.

The animation is lovely, but I could not get into the show (granted it was the Cinderella one I tried, other ones could be different for all I know, but I just don't have interest.) and dropped it three episodes in.
It might be a proximity thing; I know people who dance/have danced. Hell, I briefly danced. Easier to immerse if I don't have a similar rl counterpart to compare.

Haven't seen a clip of anime singers since Gravitation and that Melancholy of Haruhi anime. lol.

As for Super, I find it interesting that Goku and his family are always helping dinosaurs and dragons. I wish Icarus made a cameo appearance.
