And "The Day After Tomorrow" too.

Box office total update: $55,604,399

I suspect it will end its box office run with $57 million. Add on DVD sales, merchandise, TV airings, etc. and it will have made a small profit. People who think this is a "fail" for the studio are very mistaken... studios have done a lot worse.
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

Good for the studio. Too bad for the rest of the world.

My bad. Sorry, fans of the movie! But there are lots of bad movies out there already, you know? You didn't really need that one!

OH, you mean like a movie that cost 120 million and only grossed like 10 world wide. I don't remember what movie it was but I am pretty sure it happened.

I remember that! I think it was called "Captain of the World of Tomorrow" or something.
On hiatus.

It's not exactly a flop, but when a movie just makes it past it's budget, it isn't worth the effort.

Apparently, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow cost $70 million and made only $57.9 million. So it "failed", compared to Dragon Ball Evolution.
Sure, people seem to think it was a much better movie than Dragon Ball: Evolution... but hey. Who cares, right? Dragon Ball: Evolution obviously set a better example, and I certainly don't see how that could possibly be considered a bad thing for the future of film-making.

Didn't Speed Racer cost a lot? That flopped too didn't it?
I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.

The box office is a strange place. Good flims like Treasure Planet flopped big time at the box office costing $140,000,000 to create and only grossing $38,000,000 domestically.

Yet I wonder how "Epic Movie" or something of the like did. I can't help but to think it did a lot better then it should have.

I suggest a compromise: ChiChi makes out with Videl.
