I'm just super confused at this point. All the designs are Battle of Gods era, so is it after BOG, and before F? But Beerus and Whis are apparently around, though we never met them prior to Battle of Gods and Beerus was asleep till F. Are we retelling all the films, or are the saying the hell with continuity again?

Or Beers woke up before Fukkatsu no F and keeps failing to get any sleep for a long period of time.

Hmm. I don't know what to make of this. Is fat Beerus the villain? Is he just another God of destruction related to Beerus or a parallel version of himself from another universe.

If it is another parallel universe, then is the Goku and co. we see here from that parallel universe or the original one? If they are alternate versions of Goku then EOZ could change. Maybe Beerus checks in on what's happening with the characters in that universe?

Maybe his brother threatens the earth?

I'm not sure, but I am not terribly excited. I was hoping for a bigger reveal. Maybe a villain. And if that is the villain then I guess I was hoping for something newer then just a fat Beerus.

But I'll just keep my expectations in check until further notice.

Yeah I wonder if they're retelling the movies, or maybe even splitting them into episodes and including within the series? As for the placement, clear as night & day it's post-BOG and before ROF. As for "but Beerus was suppoused to be sleeping" I say Toriyama & retcons.

How is it a villain more powerful then freeza if it takes place before ROF? Why make a series that deescalates the stakes directly after ROF came out?

Because Freeza was still weak compared to Goku and Vegeta? I think they'll barely beat this guy like Raditz.

Wow, even when we have an entirely different thing on reveal, people still complain. They should have just made Revival of Cell at this point if you guys are going to complain over everything. I for one am SUPER exited for this. You guys are really killing the mood.

I'm trying really hard not to feel upset and complain. But I just feel like there's not a lot "new" going on here. I am more excited to see ROF at this point. At least it feels like it is progressing the "gods era." What's up Toriyama? What are you up to here?

I'm thinking 1st arc between BOG/ROF, 2nd arc between ROF/Movie#3. Would make sense timing wise with 3rd movie slated for 2017 (presumably) to cap the "Gods" era. I don't beleive there's any chance it will move post-EOZ faster than that... Toei and Toriyama are obsessed about this period for now

Define "new"? Female Whis and chubby Beerus isn't new? Exploring something more than the current cast is nothing new? So, they really should have just made Revival of Cell?

I'm not exactly pleased with this direction either but this might explain why Freeza was defeated so easily.

He's gonna throw so many curveballs in the plot of Super. Just the fact the splash image of the show caught me off guard so much, is pretty much an indication of the unexpected plot twists that Toriyama seems to have in store for Super.
