Beerus lost to the GoD of that universe in an arm wrestling match, not to the mortal.
Honestly in terms of only listening to its sub.... Whis' words were quite hard to grasp, I dont know if he was saying Beerus lost to a mortal before from another universe and that mortal is now the GoD of that said universe, or if he's talking about theres a mortal now on that universe that even a GoD cannot defeat who's the GoD of someone who won against Beerus.
Its like he was going with this.
Unknown ningen(the one who Whis was refering to)>GoD of that ningen>Beerus.

He's saying that Beerus lost to a god of destruction in an arm wrestling match. That god of destruction can't beat the mortal though.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

So he really was implying
Mortal>GoD (?)>Beerus in terms of arm wrestling.

When you boil it down that's what he was saying. I wonder how does this translate to battle strength? If this is what Whis meant, then he's the biggest troll in DBS!

Well now with Toshio confirming yesterdays spoilers were fake.

U9 is 100% doomed, Quitela basically set them up for failure. Remember that Daishinkan was last seeing the events happening in Universe 7, once U9 invades, he will believe that only U9 wants to savotage U7...

97 is sort of the same in a way, 96 is the game changer, it doesnt say they lack one member like how the earlier leaks popped out, 96 title says "The time has come! The fate of the universe on the line, on to the World of Void" or something like that.

We have official titles now. For what I hear, nothing confirms Freeza defects, but there are some similarities in some of the titles and the first leaks were also till 98. So we don't know yet.

Episode 94: The Emperor of Evil's Ressurection!
A greeting from mysterious assassins!?

Episode 95: The worst! The most despicable!
Freeza's Rampage!!

Episode 96: The time has come! Taking the fate of the Universe to the Void World!

Episode 97: Survive! The Tournament of Power finally begins!

Episode 98: Subtitle TBA
Its me or they sound similar to the supposed "fake" spoilers?

Lord Frieza wrote: First off, who are U9 going to send other then their own best guys...? They have got none stronger who could potential be a threat to Frieza.

Also only Goku would have trouble with guys he cannot sense the ki of, which Herms's translation pretty much supports given that he cannot stop Frieza. Frieza on the other hand has never been able to sense ki, so him having any issue would not makes sense

So no, the preview dose not disprove anything and we have had multiple previews give us varying details on the events of an episode before. Unitl we see that its not the U9 team, their is no reason not to suspect it wont be and until we see Frieza not join U4 then those leaks have not been disproved.

Edit: Even Herms has acknowledge such things by putting "yet" next to his translations.
Freeze sensed Goku's Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan form in the Super retellings. He can sense ki and god ki.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

I know the kanji that make up the new writer's name (mountain mouth) so I typed it into Google translate and got Yamaguchi. I don't know what their first name's kanji is though. It looks familiar.

97 were very similar, even the kanji used were similar.

The other titles were wrong though and the descriptions are different as well as the staff listings, so 97 having a similar title is probably a coincidence.

That's an interesting addition to the staff, he's written on tons of shows, including Gurren Lagann and Neon Genesis.

I watched Gurren Lagann ("Believe in the me that believes in you!") could not get into NGE. I will check to see which Gurren Lagann episodes he wrote though.

EDIT: It's been too long; I guess I should mention I only watched Gurren Lagann first run. Yamaguchi is listed as having written 4, 14, and 25. I remember 4 as maybe being the one with the temporary art style shift (though that's unrelated to the script writer), 14 was near the end of the first half or start of the second half, and 25 was around the point where everyone was trying to escape that lotus eater type attack the anti-spirals put them into.
