Um, question. ^^;

That 15 page long ending battle, that was in the script. Did they actually shoot it? I mean is there any footage of said battle that would be on the eventual dvd? And is there a reason as to why it was cut?

I'm not sure if they shot all of it, but there are pictures and a couple seconds of footage floating around the Internet proving they did shoot more of the final battle than they showed.

Why did they cut it? I assume it's because they wanted a PG rating or a shorter runtime. All I know for a fact is it was in one of the final revisions of the script, if not the final.

Well, it would certainly be nice to see the actual fight to see if it's any sort of improvement over the crapfest that was the fight of the theatrical cut, but sadly I don't foresee it every reaching the same high notes of the three Piccolo battles in the series proper.

It's definitely an improvement, they actually kept the Nyiobou and shiet.

I'd rather the nyoi-bo not be there than have it broken in half by Piccolo's sword of all things (or whatever means Piccolo used to break it in the script/book).

Sure, if that's what one of the sources say. Don't own the book, only remember tidbits posted from the script.

I'll be waiting for the Japanese DVD so I can get it Region 2, NTSC, and have the Japanese dub included. :D

Unless there's a special offer, I'm just gonna go out and buy it when it comes out. I can't really see it "flying off the shelves" in my area.

Considering it'll be in bargain bins within three months, I'd just wait and save money if you're that desperate.

I'm definitely gonna get it ASAP. I really REALLY hope there's extended scenes and what-not available.

I'll be at the store day one to get that sucker 8). I really can't wait, I want to see those cut scenes really badly. I also want a clean DVD rip rather than the CAM that I have right now.

I'm definitely waiting for the rental to see the deleted material even though I didn't like the movie

That won't even offset the 15 or so French fans who'll probably mourn Goku outside a local Blockbuster.
