I doubt they'll use white. They seem to be avoiding white auras as much as possible, even the flight auras appear to have been colored yellow in this release.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:I can't wait to see what color they are going to use. I'm betting on blue auras (considering they are using yellow auras for the normal states, they'll probably want to use a distinct aura for Super Saiyans).

Dunno... Super Saiyan is very iconic, I'm betting they'll use yellow/golden as well.

Kamehameha is also iconic, yet they made it golden instead of blue. So, anything is possible.alakazam^ wrote:Dunno... Super Saiyan is very iconic, I'm betting they'll use yellow/golden as well.

It's true but I feel blue doesn't go well with their golden hair. I didn't dislike it on the Kanzenban, though. On a different note, when they finish this and (possibly) get back to the first part of the series, I hope they re-do the coloring of the first two chapters so that they stay consistent with the rest of the manga (istead of Goku magically swapping from a blue to a orange gi and Bulma from greenish-blue to purple hair). They probably won't considering Goku and Bulma stay blue on the previews on mangabroadcast but Kaio had his Kanzenban colors there an in the printed release he had different colors, so who knows...

Yes, white aura for Super Saiyan!

Loving the cover for volume 5. Goku looks great there.
And the white aura for Super Saiyan is also a good choice.

Wow, they actually kept the white auras for Super Saiyans. Looks good
They could have colored Goku's undershirt on the fifth cover though...
And we now have a blue-eyed Super Saiyan.

Indeed, I first thought they were likely turquoise (making it impossible to define if it's actually green or blue, since turquoise is between those two) since they sometimes color them that way in official artworks and anime, but zooming on those previews, it does look like the Super Saiyan eyes are undoubtedly blue, as in "blue-without-even-the-slightest-hint-of-green". My favorite colour, looks good to me, but I'm curious to see more pictures of those eyes in the days to come!
And hurray for the white aura, although I wonder if it's just Super Saiyan auras that are white or if all auras are white (Vegeta was shown to have his beam-colored in the Saiyan arc when he was about to throw the Garlic Cannon, but one could argue that it's possibly because his aura would be considered as linked to his attack charging up by the ones responsible for the colors, so we'll have to wait and see I guess).
Pure white flames for Super Saiyans, I've always loved it!

Yeah, I really hope that this image is just an earlier version used by accident, because that awkwardly uncolored segment of Goku's gi is kinda of an eye-sore once you notice it, and clearly looks unfinished. I doubt this is the case, but I just keep thinking of the early BOG poster version that didn't have Goku's mouth finished and get hopeful for this one.

Has anyone gotten the new volumes already? If so, can we see some pictures?

Got the volumes today.
Kaiō-ken looks more similar to the anime this time around.
Volumes 4 and 5 contain an interview with Akira Toriyama.

Pretty much confirmed that Toriyama is trying to kill you through sleep deprivation, then.SaiyaJedi wrote:Got the volumes today.

The mangabroadcast page has been updated with previews. Looks awesome! I hope Viz catches up.
And is "Enter the Dragon Ball" still a thing?
Ah wow. I just hope they don't ask him why he put romance into the new movie, again.SaiyaJedi wrote:Got the volumes today.

Wow, the Mangapolo Youtube channel is really going full-power!
You know how they're supposed to release one chapter for each arc a week (depending on the day)... Well, suddenly this week, you went from chapter 12 all the way to chapter 19 at the time of this post!
They seem to want to proceed quickly through the Pilaf story. Could it be so that people can quickly see about the Pilaf story online before seeing Battle of Gods? Or is it rather because people already knew about those color pages that were displayed for free a while ago, so they want to show all-new color pages as soon as possible instead? Anyway, there new speed for the first arc was unexpected!

My guess is that they want to finish Son Goku arc so that they can start Freeza arc.
And darn, the removed chapters 1-13, and I didn't get to see chapters 11-13...

I plan on getting the weekly shonen jump on itunes, can you get the back issues so I can own all of the color chapters?
Re: DBZ portion of Manga to be in full color?!
Unless the WSJ interests you anyway I'd recommend waiting until VIZ finally releases volumes either digitally or physically. A chapter a day would be a much better pace. Right now it's torture. For instance, I've collected all the chapters thus far (9 chapters so it's been running for 9 weeks) and it's only to the part where Piccolo used his Makankosappo for the 2nd time so they're not even finished with volume 1 yet. If language doesn't mean anything to you I'd buy Japanese. You can get volumes 1-20 for right around $101 USD. That's what I'd spend my money on if Americans could purchase things on iTunes Japan. If you want to buy WSJ to show support that's a different story.Tullece wrote:I plan on getting the weekly shonen jump on itunes, can you get the back issues so I can own all of the color chapters?
