Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Why would anyone want to see Piccolo get embarrassed/one-shot again?
If I had a choice between Gohan fighting or not fighting Beerus then I'd certainly go with the latter as I'm tired of seeing Gohan get whooped.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I think they only stopped Piccolo from fighting because of the out-of-universe only-so-many-pages-and-so-much-to-cover issues. This chapter covers episodes 5 through 8 of the tv series; they had to cut it down for time somehow.
On hiatus.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Hey, SSJ3 Gotenks! SO at least we know he's in the manga.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Are you guys talking about the text? I don't see the 3rd manga out anywhere

It's out, but it's on you to find it as it's against the rules to post pirated content here.DragonHermit wrote:Are you guys talking about the text? I don't see the 3rd manga out anywhere

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Well I quite liked the chapter, nobody was depowered in this at least, just hope the anime does it properly, too. I loved Beerus reaction after Vegeta hit him a few times, he still wasn't impressed in the slightest.
I just need to know when the anime is going to introduce Champa and Fem Whis. Surely a meeting with the Kaioshin shouldn't be glazed over in the anime. It could be in a flashback but I want to see them ASAP.

-About chapter 3-
I'm loving how Toyble is showing both Champa/Whis Waifu and Beerus/Whis. Golden Freeza arc in the middle just seems more like a pointless filler. month after month.
Great art and pacing like always.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Just read the chapter.
As usual, the amounts of curse words was gratuitous, but it was nice to SSJ3 Gotenks again and Beerus' facial reaction to being denied was glorious. Toybles artyle is getting more cartoonish and I love that.
Also, Vegeta totally stole Future Trunks' Heat Dome Attack.
Good chapter overall.

YES SUPER SAIYAN 3 GOTENKS! And the only Super Saiyan 3 we'll probably see in the anime
.
Gohan and Boo get shoved aside, but the anime seems to show at least Boo does a bit more. Piccolo and the others also fight again. Gohan will probably be oneshotted again cause LolGohan you don't fit the stat trinity of relevancy. Unfortunately even though I knew it was coming, LOLRAGETA still exists. Would have been much cooler to see Vegeta fight real hard and fail despite not being that powerful, and have Bulma admire him. But no we need Vegeta to pull a Gohan to the third power and then never have it mean anything in the long run.
Meanwhile we get to see more of Fat Beerus and Fem Whis which again is a huge plus since their presence hints to newer greater things. Fat Beerus seems pretty stupid though. No reading on Fem Whis as she leaves no real impression either.

Watch him get omitted from the anime.dbzfan7 wrote:YES SUPER SAIYAN 3 GOTENKS! And the only Super Saiyan 3 we'll probably see in the anime.
Also, I'm satisfied with how Rageta was portrayed. Beerus initially dodged all of the attacks and then it was implied that he let himself get hit.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
He might. I think there's a chance cause he was in the manga, so he's more likely to be in the anime too. Though I can see them avoiding it.Doctor. wrote:Watch him get omitted from the anime.dbzfan7 wrote:YES SUPER SAIYAN 3 GOTENKS! And the only Super Saiyan 3 we'll probably see in the anime.

It seemed to me like in BOG he was surprised for a moment, however at the end he definitely let himself get hit. So I guess a case could be made he always did.

Don't you dare compare the lame "Heat Dome Attack" to Vegeta's "MOTHERFUCKEEEEER". "MOTHERFUCKEEEEER" is a much stronger technique.Lord Beerus wrote:Also, Vegeta totally stole Future Trunks' Heat Dome Attack.![]()
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

-About the curse words-
When the same team translated ROF chapters , they dropped F bombs too. And there was a user comment saying, that Toriyama screwed up again and forgot all characters behaviors, because they don't talk like that. Poor Toriyama.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Gotta say, I loved Champa in this chapter. Makes me kinda sad that his scene in chapter 2 wasn't present in episode 5 of the anime, and worried that he might not be introduced during the BoG Arc like the manga seems to imply (my guess is the manga won't even have FnF Arc and it will be treated more like a filler Arc, but we'll have to wait and see). This subplot really could make things more interesting for everyone, especially those who hate the retelling of the movies. I like the fact that Namek will be involved, it's nice to have the story reach places other than Earth.
As for the fight at the party... it was ok, I guess. That is obviously going to be more interesting in the anime, as it was quite rushed here. I liked that Toyotaro implied that Beerus was playing with Vegeta and not really having a harder time than he had with Goku. It's more believable that way. Though I can see Toei going with the movie version and just have SSJ2 Vegeta be stronger than SSJ3 Goku because of reasons. And what's up with Gohan's outfit? I know the manga isn't supposed to be exactly the same as the anime, but this is something that doesn't make much sense. Gohan isn't fighting anymore, so why is he using that training gi at Bulma's party? Or does he just carry that around just in case?
Oh well, just a minor nitpick.
Good chapter overall, considering it works more as a preview than a traditional manga, of course.

I was laughing so hard when Champa broke the "4th wall". I still am hoping for SSJ3 Vegeta even though now the odds are very highly against it.
No way it's those. Maybe they're using the Namekian DBs as a way to unlock Super DBs in their universe?NeoKING wrote:Super DBs = Namekian DBs?
I think Frieza was just a way of them showing/testing their new powers without getting to fight any enemies pertinent to the "main" storyline.FortuneSSJ wrote:-About chapter 3-

I just assumed the Kaioshin were wrong and Champa is searching for different dragon balls, that's what the chapter implied to me.
