I somehow feel it's still more likely for Goku to get a new powerup/transformation late in the film than for Birusu to have another form. Since they're dealing with enemies who have special, magical powers and not just pure physical strength, I'm also curious as to who will last the longest back on Earth until Goku's inevitable re-arrival (and what condition the others will be in). I want to see how crazy things will get.

Going by the dictionary, a fusion is closer to the definition of a "transformation" than the Super Saiyan.

@DragonBallKaiHD The whole franchise is built on characters transforming in one way or another from the very beggining. Oolong transformed, so did Mutenroshi by buffing up, Tenshinhan by gaining more arms, Daimao by going from old to young and Junior by going giant. Nearly every Z movie features some kind of transformation. Chilled didn't transform, but Bardock did. And you've just been told how a fusion is a transformation. So honestly, you're just being pedantic because you can't admit you're wrong. Like I said, the whole franchise features transformation and nearly every main villain transformed; so yeah, transformations ARE getting old.

Bilus is said to push the limits of destruction once displeased, and his awakening throws not merely Kaio but even Kaioshin into a panic. Hearing rumors of a Saiyan who defeated Freeza, Bilus and Whis track down Goku on Kaio’s planet. Thrilled to see a strong opponent after so long, Goku ignores Kaio’s warning and challenges Bilus to battle, but is helpless before his overwhelming power and defeated! “I hope there’s someone on Earth more worthwhile to destroy” With those unnerving words, Bilus departs. The threat of Bilus creeps up on Vegeta, Gohan, and the other warriors on Earth…Will Goku and co. be able to stop Bilus’ destruction!? I'm starting to really like the premise of this film, with Goku being sorta sidelined and the other Z Fighters having to buy time before his return... Sounds like a typical DBZ plot, as in the Saiyan, Namek and Androids Sagas.

Insertclevername was talking about villians transforming to add more powers to their advantage, just like Freeza, but I will say that some of the characters you pointed who transformed did not transform. Oolong is the exception because he's a shapeshifter. Of course he can transform, but he's a gag character. He's not important.

Muten Roshi's Buffed-Up is not transformation. Just like Grade 2 and 3 are not transformation. Piccolo Daimao didn't transform. Piccolo Daimao is still in his base form, same as Piccolo Jr. Tenshinhan just grew his arms. The list you mentioned are pointless because they are irrevelant to what I was talking about.

Chilled is a villian, yet he didn't transform. Bardock is not a villian, so he's out of our conversation.

So that brings back to my point: The new villians did not transform, even with fusion, because they are two different thing. By your logic, Piccolo would be transformed from the fusion with Nail and Kami-sama.

Actually, this movie shouldn't be the last time they meet up, 5 years before the End of Z, otherwise Bulma should be round and pregnant ready to give birth to Bra, or already with infant Bra in arms. I do believe this could be just before that: 4 years after Buu, 6 years before the End of Z. This is why I'm crossing fingers that Bulma is going to give Vegeta the news that they'll have a new bundle of joy during the party + Videl/Gohan announce they are getting married.

Not if it's one or two years after the end of Boo. Everyone is speculating the movie is set three of five years after, but it was never said how many years after the end of the Boo Saga it was set. I still think it's only a few months after (or before) the JSAT special.

I'm really sad that this movie went with the Bulma's wedding thing instead of the Gohan/Videl wedding option, because FIVE years would be exactly around the time of Pan's conception based on my guesses.

It's not Bulma's wedding, it's her birthday.

I don't think he'd go Super like Z did, not really any characteristics that could change with a Super Neko Majin style transformation. I think he's most likely to grow hair, because long hair and no eyebrows (which he doesn't have anyway being a cat) always makes you super powerful, regardless of the species. =P
