I wonder if both U4 and U9 (which Gods have been designed by Toriyama) will get blown up before the tournament starts. Or maybe, this is foreshadowing twin universes co-operating in the ToP.

If U9 sends assassins to attack and kill U7 team, then I can imagine Zeno would erase them without question. However, U4 is supposed to participate because a fighter named Damon would be in the TOP.

Agreed. Hopefully Dragon Ball Super will have a movie very soon rather than later, or possibly never!

I know, but... Kidding. I would have dropped all about U4 and Freeza leaving if it wasn't for Yamcha's actor's tweet. It won't happen, but I'll just keep a window open until it's really confirmed it won't.

In the synopsis that was posted two days ago about Episode 95, it was said that Freeza would murder these assassins mercilessly, and that Goku wanted to stop him but was too busy taking care of the emperor's rearguard, and in the synopsis posted today, WSJ does not say that. This "but" may be about it, as it is something that Goku tried to prevent but failed

Times have changed since One Piece Strong World. Thankfully we don't have the yearly movies anymore and we get event movies every so many years now.

Resurrection F only came out 2 years ago, maybe they aren't ready yet. After all there was a three and a half year difference between One Piece Film Z and Film Gold.

I'd hope we'd get another movie next year though. It might also be that because Toriyama is working on Super that he may be too busy.

The reason we haven't got a movie is probably because they want to establish Super as the international roll out has only begun there is a lot of money to be made internationally as evidenced by BoG and "F".

No real reason to wait for that. Most of the bigger countries that are going to get it already have it. Subtitled at least.

But really, maybe they just want to focus their efforts on getting some things stable first. It was only recently that the animation started to truly improve and we still get hick ups here and there.

There's also the "SS Bargain Sale" controversy that i'm sure is going on in japan as well.

Maybe once we get things a bit more stable they'll consider a movie.

The only weird thing is that tweet from Yamcha's VA is still real. As far as we know Yamcha isn't in the next few episodes, so what could that be for?

Probably a B plot that will take place during the tournament.

Probably another Alien Invasion that only Yamcha is capable to be there and defend the Earth

I have a theory I came up with recently. What if our Universe wins and Goku wishes for everyone from the losing Universes to be moved to his own. With some smooth talking this could work with the Zenos.

This development could easily turn Universe 7 into a war-zone and provides numerous stories.

This theory has been said to death in this forum, I guess it could work... But, would we end in a universe with a bunch of Kaioshin and Hakaishin? Seems messy.

Call me pessimist, but they have already run out of good ideas, so I don't see why should they struggle to come up with a movie which by definition is a rehash(at least in the case of Dragon Ball franchise) of some arcs of the anime itself with slightly different characters. Being that they use fanfic ideas already, I think it's fine to stick with running the anime to be accetable at least.

I'm still convinced that the latest two arcs(Black and US) could have been done more efficiently after EoZ.
