Overall look of the movie and questionable Gohan choices aside, I'm hoping they spot this in-between error before release. Not that it would be a huge issue in motion, most likely, but it's always better when there aren't problems.

DongHyun pointed out to me there is a new pamphlet circulating with stuff from the film (including Beerus). Something for Julian to get his hands on?

Of course this will need confirmation later, but apparently the story is set 2 years later. And Beerus may be the one to give Freeza his power up...

I guess Beerus woke up early? This also could also match up with Bluma saying she hadn't seen Goku in 5 years at the end of the manga depending on when it takes places (and if you round). Pan would likely still be little and Bra may not be born yet. Trunks would also be 14, which is still younger than Goku when he got his growth spurt, meaning the boys may still be midgets if they are in the film.

I certainly hope Beerus doesn't merely give Freeza a power-up as a means of testing Goku and Vegeta after their training under Whis, if the latter theory proves to be true.

Perhaps Freeza is awarded the position of God of Destruction for whatever reason.

Despite all the complaints with animation, I think this movie is looking pretty promising.

Gohan went SS in BoG, besides I don't think it was said that he couldn't go SS, also they're maybe an explanation in film.

Regardless of reason, I'm not entirely sure I'd like Beerus giving Freeza his power up. Not after he just mentioned in Battle of Gods that he didn't like the tyrant and ended up remarking that he should kill him, before learning that Goku took care of him

More than anything I just cant get over how bad Goku sounds in that trailer, I've watched it a few times now but that "Friezaaa" makes me laugh everytime. No full grown adult male should ever sound like that.

Not much of Vegeta in that trailer, but I don't think that means much.
He's probably going to be the one, who defeats Freeza after arriving on the battlefield and being shocked to see all the destruction Freeza has caused.
The speculated alternate reality doesn't look that likely, but it's still possible. Freeza perhaps getting reborn in or aquiring god power in that green slime stuff?
It's going to be interesting to see what exactly is going on here.

Not sure how to feel about the idea that Beerus might be the one that gives Freeza his power up...though I guess it could add more to his 'anti-hero' side. Also curse them for finding a way to still keep Goten and Trunks as their young selves, if they appear at all.

I LOVE that Freeza looking down at scenes from the Namek arc on the back of that phamplet though. That's the kind of style we don't see often in Dragon Ball art.

Edit: Huh, just had a random thought about the first form Freeza stuff we keep seeing. What do you think the chances are that Goku will see him in that form initially...and not even recognize him? He never did see any of Freeza's other forms after all. There could be something slightly humorous there depending on his reaction, heh.

It wouldn't be a plot hole. Old Kai unlocked Gohan's full power, he didn't make it so that he couldn't turn into a SSJ.
