The more I look at it the more I'm on board. It seems like it is only Beerus and whis affected so probably not an alternate or parallel universe. Instead maybe it's something like, Beerus had a nightmare when he was asleep and those can sometimes manifest themselves into reality. Whis normally keeps that in check but he slipped up this time and a negative copy of Beerus manifested.

I think in any case, that the fat one is the bad guy because he has the world in his finger tip. insinuating that he holds the fate of the world in his hands.

Kuririn has his BoG haircut and outfit, this pretty much confirms Super will be before FnF. Either that or FnF was just a non-canon side-story like the old Toei movies and Super will be the real sequel to BoG.

That would be amazing, RoF is a totally dispensable movie that doesn't add anything to the storytelling, I would love that TOEI or Toriyama treat as a "What If"

That would just be strange. Why would the jump special and BOG count but not ROF which is also by Toriyama?

...or maybe not (filler)...? we assumed that Beerus was asleep all the time between BoG and FnF, but maybe he wasn't?

So, the trailer didn't really get me hyped, but the new image on the website does.

I get why some are still a bit disappointed with what's been shown, a Beerus and Whis clone and the setting being evidently between Battle of Gods and Resurrection F. As much as I don't care about Goten and Trunks aging and having new designs (and the same goes for the other characters), I still find myself saying "Eh, I've seen this all before." However, I'm okay with this. And I'm actually kind of excited because maybe my theory I came up with today was partially right. (Or just a happy coincidence)

I honestly wasn't expecting too much new. When we got the logo and it was basically the DBZ logo with the Z chopped off I thought "Dragon Ball Super isn't going to be new, it's going to be an expansion." That's probably not the best way to describe what I was thinking, but I've never been known as a word-smith. I'm cool with going back and seeing what took place between the two movies. I think it would be nice to see what the characters did in that time span. Especially since Goku and Vegeta achieve Super Saiyan Blue off screen. It's nice to know the potential to see what events led to that is there.

I will say timeline wise and planning wise, it's a shame they couldn't have planned this out to where they aired Super this year and then kept RoF in the can for theatrical release next year, but at the same time I can't blame them for wanting to piggy-back Super off of the movie either. And who knows. (this all assuming it actually is taking place after BoG), if Super does well, maybe they pick it up again for 2016 and it picks up immediately after RoF and leads us up to End of Z, and then we get a new movie in 2017 that takes place after EoZ. Even if I'm wrong, I'm at least a bit exited for Super now!

Edit: I also thought that FnF could easily be counted towards being DBZ Movie 14 instead of the sequel to BoG.

Edit 2: Also, apologies for the small pamphlet. As I said: just slightly excited. Which is bad because I need to be asleep to be up in five hours to drive four hours to play some shows for ten hours.

Ok, not only is it before EoZ, it's BEFORE FnF!!!. Great! what else? at the end of the first arc Whis turns back time so we can see Goku's years of training in the afterlife!!! GREAT!..... bullcrap.


HOWEVER, I'm am astonished as Toriyama actually made a new character that is A WOMAN. if she's at the level of Whis that means that we finally get a woman in dbz that is on par with the saiyans and might even be above them.

Color me interested, this might not be so fucking terrible after all. Even if stuck in a mediocre era for a series revival.
