I hope Vegeta isn't too up his own ass about the plan, I'd be okay with him going off on his own at first and then teaming up later.
There is no way Vegeta is going to listen to Gohan. Goku is going to say he is then leave.

Why would anyone reply when most have more experience than Gohan.

The only ones I'm sure of that will listen to Gohan are Piccolo,Roshi,Krillin,Tien. 17 and 18 are half and half, Goku will say yeah but will go on his own when the match starts, Vegeta would rather kick the bucket than listen to Gohan based from what he kept saying back then "I dont need teamwork" and Freeza... the guy said he wouldnt even listen to Goku, so chances of him listening to Gohan are dead.

Why do you think 17 and 18 will listen to Gohan, especially 17?

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

Thats why I said half and half, 17 kinda in a way see's Goku as someone he owes a debt to for saving his life, if Goku asks him to listen to Gohan he may or may not, 18 as well, if Krillin tells 18 to listen to Gohan she may or may not.

I feel like everyone will have a moment where they come around and start working together, even Freeza. I'm assuming Freeza will be getting stomped by Jiren until Goku comes to help.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

I am still not convinced they won't fight together when the situation is dire..
They might say it at first but most will come around later

I'd be surprised if U7 didn't lose members quickly at first, followed by a strong underdog-esqued follow up and typically win it.
It could even be Goku that takes a fall first...

This was the exact thing I said when they first picked Gohan. We watched weak @$$ Krillin ring him out and and most everyone there has beaten the shit out of him, in some cases multiple times. Yeah they're definitely going to take orders from a kid(relative to them) who doesn't really want to fight in the first place.. I know it makes for great "drama" but we could see this outcome a mile away.

I just don't see why they will. Beerus will probably step in and sort it out. If Piccolo and Gohan work together Piccolo will more than likely take the lead.

They will if they want to win, by far only Goku,Vegeta,Freeza and 17 can hold their own without teamwork, the others need teamplay to back up their lack of power. I doubt it, Piccolo accepted Gohan be the leader with a smile, he isnt as flippy as Goku who would forget they need teamplay to win it.

Most will able to hold their own against most fighters I think it is only the likes of Hit, Toppo and Jiren that will need teamwork. These 3 are going to be near impossible to beat 1 vs 1 unless they are tired or injured before from that. Stamina and injury is going to play a big role and many people seem to forget this. This is why you can't say that is impossible for a character to beat another throughout the tournament.

This. Everyone's confidence will be high until they realize they're not the only monsters there. Once they start getting that ass whipped they'll start singing a different tune about teamwork.

I agree with this.

Also people are acting like the only SSB level people that will be there are just Golden Freeza,Goku,Vegeta,Hit,Gohan,Toppo,17 and Jiren. This won't even be close to being the case, the fact they made 17 and Gohan be SSB level should be proof enough. They wouldn't give u7 five ssjb level people if there was only going to be three ssjb level people out of the 7 other teams.

I actually find it quite crazy that people think the only non u7 characters that will be SSJB level will be Jiren,Toppo and Hit. What would be the point of the arc if the fighters are that weak and this would be a repeat of the champa arc.

17 won't listen, but 18 perhaps will because of Gohan's friendship with Krillin which goes way back. She might just listen to Gohan for her husband's sake.

I hope you're right. I hope the other universes that we haven't really seen have multiple strong fighters. What I don't want to see is a repeat of the champa arc where every team is garbage except for one fighter, who for someone reason is light years ahead of everyone else in their universe.

At the moment, u7 seems to be packing too much firepower. The addition of Frieza is like the Golden State Warriors adding Kevin Durant. They're a super team...or so it seems. Hopefully, Jiren isn't the only fighter who pushes our team to the edge. Last thing I want to think when it's all said and done is, "If it wasn't for that one guy, u7 wins easily."

I will be pleasantly surprised if they dont pull a u6 arc again. Toriyama really screwed up that arc by having everyone besides Hit to be weaklings.

For ToP to succeed, they have to make allot more characters seems threatening. Not just Jiren. Have the u7 team to feel despair, to be frightened.

It's not as if uni 6 situation occurring once again is a stretch, plenty strong characters can ring out weaker once faster than people jump to conclusions seeing you carry a head in your hand..

Head in your hand, u referencing ur avatar?

Ye, but u can solve this problem by making more strong characters. Make the u7 team work for it, not just have, oh if i had used full power i could have koed 99% of the contestants, but didnt bother cos a 3 episode arc isnt very good.

Goku and Vegeta are lightyears ahead everyone else, so why wouldn't Hit be, especially since he's over 1000 years old? Plus, U6 were only weak compared to Goku and Vegeta, not the rest of U7.

U6 were only walkings to Goku and Vegeta. In this tournament, they will be fighting all at once instead one-v-one.
