At least in this chapter, they clearly seem to treat Frost as Freeza from Universe 6, so, he presumably has the same "mutant" explanation behind his powers. As far as his lower forms go, I guess he might have created them just for the reason that Goku mentions here, rather than Freeza's lack of power control, since he's probably a trained fighter, unlike Freeza.

Yeah, it's not like Toyotaro didn't have time to ink the hair either, it's a monthly manga. The episode title also says that "this is Super Saiyan Son Goku", so why are you guys refusing to believe that Goku can still turn into the regular SSJ?

It just seemed like Toriyama was attempting to simplify the transformation system, so bringing back SSJ would be at odds with that. There's also the issue that the "SSJ Blue" form doesn't even have a proper name in the anime, so I'd expect that to be established at least before they start switching forms.

Besides, I don't think the lack of shading is necessarily a "mistake". It wouldn't be the first time that something is redesigned like that. SSJ itself changed a lot after its first appearance. Maybe after seeing how the animators executed SSJ Blue he decided against the shading?

Yes. Perhaps, his instinct is suggesting that that one is a dangerous enemy

Why do people assume Goku will get weaker if he turns regular SSJ??
It doesn't make any sense.
Regular SSJ Goku(Post God) has been stated to be exactly as strong as SSJ God. While Base Goku (BoG Arc) is pretty close to and has most of it's power. 90%+ (all based on feats and statements) then after training with Whis and achieving SSJ Blue AND training for another 3 years in the RoSaT. Base Goku & Vegeta>SSJG Goku BoG Era. And turning SSJ ALWAYS makes them stronger. Wether it be blue or gold. Doesn't make any difference.

I mean Base (Saiyan Beyond God) Goku is already pretty strong but yet he can transform into a regular SSJ and SSGSS? How this is even supposed to work?

SSJ = 4,5 (1.5x increase)

SSJ2 = 9 (3x increase)

SSJ3 = 13,5 (4.5x increase)

SSGSS = 30 (10x increase)

Or is still a 50x increase in Base? But that would mean a massive multiplier for SSGSS! Damn it! It's so confusing

Regardless of what it is, it's good to know that the original forms can still be used and be useful.

So why is SSj a thing when they have SSjGSSj? So I would imagine his god powers made him much stronger in base form. He didn't go SSj against ROF Freeza and Uub.

It's probably to use when they don't need Ssjb but can't get the job done in Base.

Freeza wanted him to go all out from the start and Uub was just a kid.

Goku vs. Frost = Goku loses but Frost is worn out
Piccolo vs. Frost = Frost finger flicks
Vegeta vs. Frost = Vegeta beats a weakened Frost
Vegeta vs. Magetta = Vegeta wins easily
Vegeta vs. Cabba = Vegeta wins with medium difficulty
Vegeta vs. Hit = Vegeta is beated to a pulp
Monaka vs. Hit = Monaka loses horribly

And thus, Hit show his evil intentions and it seems nobody could stop him but then, one warrior shows up in the battlefield *Gohan's anger plays* and it's ready to face the overpowered villain:

Goku got serious when Uub got piss off. When Uub got angry, Goku started to put up a fight for a bit.

I think the tournament will be interrupted at some point, but if it finishes, it's something like this. I find it hard to believe that Monaka would lose, but I just CAN'T see U7 winning this after everything that has been set-up.

Fighting slightly more seriously than before, but given the fact Oob's is a malnourished kid with no combat practice, I doubt he's any stronger than say when Gohan first raged out vs Raditz.

Isn't it possible we could have base Goku then Gold SSJ then Blue SSJ? If Goku can still go Gold then he may use this formula to replace SSJ1>2>3.

This is the best possible scenario. Goku, Vegeta and Piccolo all win one time and Universe 6 wins.

Goku couldn't win using strength so he used his brain instead which Piccolo will hopefully do as well.
