why? 18 years of "waiting" for a DBZ sequel. to expect everyone to be right as rain would be silly. I just think a Fat version of Beerus being the villain would be stupid is all.

I honestly think the the first act of Super may be like the Flashpoint Paradox in where the main timeline of Dragon Ball is altered so significantly by one event or action by the villain, that history itself changes. Resulting in Fat Beerus, Female Whis etc. I know something that has already pretty much happened in Dragon Ball, but judging from the splash image, it could be going do that route again.

I'm still not convinced that this will take place pre-F. Goku and Vegeta don't have their F clothes, but weren't they given to them by Whis and they only ever used them while training with him? Is there any reason to assume that they'd have permanently changed their clothing?

As for Krillin and his hair, he shaved it because he was going to fight. After Freeza was defeated it'd grow back in a few months. And he has hair at EoZ, so it's not like his F look is permanent.

On the contrary, Beerus is awake and he isn't awake during the time period between BoG and F.

Say what you want about Toriyama but there's no doubt that he still knows how to surprise people with his work.

With this being set before F then it'll probably be the last chance we'll get to see Vegeta use his normal forms so hopefully he goes Ssj3 in this.

If this is when Vegeta will debut his Ssjg form then hopefully he'll get the final battle with fat Beerus.

What WAS made by Whis was the signature on his armor (and Goku's Gi). But thats in RoF.

I'm glad it's before RoF. I loved the movie, but it felt like there was a movie in between BoG and RoF that we missed. In BoG, Vegeta made Goku promise him that he could become SSG during the next battle, and then in RoF, Vegeta has already mastered SSG, and they're suddenly training with Whis for some unknown reason, and Goten and Trunks are missing, and for some reason they can't sense the massive amounts of ki being used during RoF... are they on another planet, or training in the RoSaT? This should be interesting.

While I don't know about clothes made from Whis I agree with everything else. Also the Press Release said it was after "F" they even tweeted it takes place after the revival and defeat of Freeza. Also, in BoG it was Bulma's birthday and so everyone was wearing causal cloths and so they're probably doing the same here, it is peace time afteralll (lol).

I'm sure it will eventually move beyond RoF, probably after RoF makes it's TV debut. How long did it take for BoG to air, a year?

It looks like any hops of Gohan being important have gone out the window and Piccolo might have a bigger role in this somehow.

It actually said that the new series will premier following the release of RoF in theaters, they weren't talking about when the story takes place. The only time frame we were given for the story is that it follows the aftermath of the battle with Buu, and I still think it's possible the series starts out immediately after Buu's defeat, catches up with BoG, bridges the gap between the two movies, and then continues on. There was a lot we missed, after all.
