Re: DragonBall Z Abridged
My girlfriend and I loved the half-assed French. Also I like how a lot of jokes were a bit subtle.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?
Re: DragonBall Z Abridged
I loved this special, it was great. I really liked Yajirobe and Karin's married couple routine.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!
Re: DragonBall Z Abridged
That special was great. Didn't have much of an impact on me the first time through, but it grew on me after a second viewing.

Also, I'm just gonna point out the fact that this footage exists. That is all.

I loved it, as always! When Goku and Cooler went underwater, I was like, "Yea! Alright! Water scene! I wonder what they're going to do!" The outcome was great! I didn't expect that at all. That's why I love your guys' type of comedy. I almost never know what you're going to do. And of course my favorite part of the entire movie was the Tori-bird. I love you guys! Keep up the great work!

Can someone please explain "Avon calling" to me? Is it a reference to Blake's 7 or something?
Re: DragonBall Z Abridged
Avon is a makeup company that sends out door-to-door salesmen and women. I took it as Cooler being, well, cool. With one-liners and whatnot.Lance Freeman wrote:Can someone please explain "Avon calling" to me? Is it a reference to Blake's 7 or something?

If anyone's interested, while we're working on the new Season, we have a little... special we're working on for Youmacon.
Hint: Youmacon is held every year in Detroit around late October/early November. So it often gets very chilly.

Obviously, it's The Return of Cooler. Because October is cooler. And they're returning to Youmacon.theawesomepossum777 wrote:Ahhhh, I see what you did there... Okay, maybe that was a terrible joke.

Really digging the use of those Gokuisms, that you guys have been using for the last few episodes. They remind me of Rickyisms (from Trailer Park Boys).

I blame TFS for me always hearing Abridged Nail whenever I think of the regular character talking and for always expecting Ghost Nappa theme from Ghostbusters.

Re: DragonBall Z Abridged
It's that way for me with Nappa's voice. I automatically hear Taka's Nappa if I'm reading something with the character in it.

Oh yeah, that happens to me too with Nappa and fanfiction.Chuquita wrote:It's that way for me with Nappa's voice. I automatically hear Taka's Nappa if I'm reading something with the character in it.

The same thing happens to me with Nail, Nappa, the Grand Elder, Gohan, Kuririn, and Freeza.
