I just watched the trailer again and found myself laughing when I noticed this kid.

In what world does that character belong in Dragon Ball? That stylistically looks awful lol.

Because the events of BOG and this movie already pretty much cancel out what happens at the end with Uub.

Not necessarily. I still think that Oob's potential could be the real thing that Goku is interested in, not his currently available amount of power...or, well, current potential...I...guess...

Okay, let me re-phrase. Oob is a ten year old that already has the potential to be just as strong as Kid Boo was. As he trains to be able to use said power, there's no telling how much more potential power he's going to have in reserve, just like with Gohan. So I think it's what Oob can become that Goku finds so intriguing. That and, though it's a much smaller part of things than 'I really wanna fight him!', Goku does seem to realize that eventually someone else is gonna have to be around to defend the Earth, because he won't always be.

I guess that's true. But I feel like the events of these movies sort of retcon the character interactions. It's hard to ignore the fact that Goku may have SSJ God powers or that Vegeta may in fact be as strong as him. It also feels like Vegeta is growing more now then he is shown at the end of DBZ. But you know, I haven't read that part or watched it in so long I no longer remember exactly what happens outside of Goku running off with Uub and the new ending where Vegeta promises him he will eventually defeat him. Which also seems out of character given these movies and even how he was when he admitted during their battle with Buu that Goku was the best.

AHHH! I can't unsee that! haha. I particularly love how it looks like Mr. Satan is just staring at the ground. Their eye lines don't all make sense. I guess Dragon Ball is a franchise that will never get due respect with amazing animation. Even back in the 90s it wasn't the best. It seems like it's always as cheap as they can get away with.

Wow, I'm tempted to say that I'm more excited for this than I was for Battle of Gods. This first theatrical trailer gives us so much more to look at.

They're really starting to roll the news out fast now. Can't wait to see everything translated! There's a lot there. I expect to see a lull over Chrsitmas and New Years, but still; it seems like we're ahead of where BOG was at in 2012. Perhaps they plan to spend more time on marketing and creating hype this time around.


That Tagoma shot looks shockingly similar to the fake we saw initially. You don't think... I guess it's not exactly an original shot. I really like the look of that Goku one, by the way. I'm liking the variety of settings we've seen so far, those grey skys are pretty atmospheric. Reminds me of the first Broli film.

The legions of Freeza soldiers really reminds me of the Janemba movie. Which makes me wonder if, for some reason, Freeza's henchmen were wished back as well somehow. But it seems weird to me that his soldiers would've just hung back, inactive for so many years. And doesn't it seem suspicious that, not only does Freeza have his ship, but he's shown in his first form? I dunno, maybe these are some flashback scenes to throw us off.

Looks like First-Form Freeza is leading the charge. I wonder if the shots of him emerging from that green liquid is the way his first form is restored?

Oh wow, I didn't notice that either. So I guess...he really is back to his first form at first, for some reason? Huh. Maybe for some reason, his new power has to 'settle' for a bit first, so before he can let it all out in his final form, he chills in his first?

If they are landing on earth, does that mean that Freeza was not wished back to life with Earth's Dragon Balls? I mean, it doesn't make much sense for him to be wished back by landing his space craft.
