Terrible voice acting and script writing bring out my irate fanboy: it makes it impossible to identify or like the characters if the voice doesn't fit them nor does the dialogue given to them.

Krillin sucks also brings it out: I always liked him as the sort of underdog and he's certainly way more powerful than Yamcha or Chiaotzu.

I agree: Broly had no depth whatsoever and was flat as a pancake for all three films he was in-- his entire ambition was "WAH KAKAROT MADE ME LISTEN TO HIM CRY AS A BABY SO NOW I WANT REVENGE!!!"

And he managed to get worse in every film he appeared in.

I agree yet again: by Bio Broly, you're wondering what's the point of him being there now.

Most of them aren't particularly in-depth, but Broly just sucks altogether. People like good characters, which strength alone doesn't make.

People also like characters with a cool design, like Boba Fett.

Beerus, Janemba, Turles, and Cooler have cool designs and they're not nearly as overrated as Broly, though. I'll admit that Broly does look cool, but he isn't the only one.

The problem is all Broly was is just that: a wrecking machine. There was no real motive or depth to his actions.

Cooler and Androids 13, 14, and 15 had much more of a motive for wanting to beat Goku and for their actions than Broly: Goku killed his brother in Cooler's case, and Androids 13-15 wanted revenge for Dr. Gero. Not saying they weren't dicks, but their actions were a lot more interesting than Broly's.

Tullece is just Goku, and sure those guys have good designs, but I think Broly stands out.

Not in debate, just saying that people like a wrecking machine regardless.
Androids 13-15 wanted revenge for Dr. Gero
That's not a motivation, they were programmed to. I wouldn't say the Terminator is motivated.

Yeah, I suppose on Broly: it's unfortunate, but true.

You have a point on them, but my point on Cooler still stands.

Broly "sucks" purely due to over-saturation. In his original movie, his story has more background and depth than most movies and villains, and the fact that he was just a crazy machine of destruction embodied the savage nature of the saiyans which was perfectly fitting for the LSSJ.

For a while now fans have criticized him a little too much, exaggerating.

He doesn't just suck because of over-saturation, he just isn't a good character. WatcherOfThe2000s does a good job explaining everything wrong with him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4w-GkeBN2k (See 11:55 - 13:52)

Considering that he is just one of those fans who actually believes that broly went mad because of Goku crying (?), instead of understanding that Broly was driven mad purely because of his power and that the point of the baby crying scene was to show us a methaphor for how Goku, despite always being much weaker than Broly, always manages to find a way to affect Broly (which is why the scene is repeated as Goku is defeating Broly), I don't put much stock in his opinion.

Not to mention that his main complaint was the overating of Broly, which is basically the fans' fault, not the fault of the character and his original movie.

Apparently all it takes for a critic to be labeled as a "hater" is to criticize.
"You're just a fanboy!"
This is another term that's lost all meaning. All you have to do is admit to liking GT, and bam, you get the label.
My response to those people is "you're just a blind sheep" and "you're just ignorant to criticism" in those cases: everyone has different opinions and if we all liked exactly the same stuff, then it'd get really boring really fast.

Things that irritate my inner fanboy:
You are a DBZtard for saying Goku is stronger than [insert character here]
I mean, am i a tard if say Goku is stronger than pikachu ? (Just to give an example)
You like Dragon Ball?, you must be a DBZtard
Pretty much what the internet says about the fandom, which i partially blame the fandom itself.
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

I've posted here before, but something recently has been annoying me a little. It's the clickbait DBZ youtubers that don't know what they're talking about. Say whatever you want about youtube but these guys spread misinformation, lies, and basically turn the fandom on its head. Sure, people on this forum and certain other individuals won't fall for stupidity like that, but the majority of the casual fans will and that just irks me a bit.

THIS!!! That's why apart from Mistare Fusion, I don't watch ANY DB youtubers. The only other one that is semi tolerable to me is Blackenfist. He does seem to be somewhat knowledgeable.
