Media Player Classic is what I used to take the image. I could try another program, see if I get a different result.

So are you saying that GT was pretty much kept the way it was received by Toei and Funi didn't zoom in or even saturate the picture like Dragon Ball and Z?

I'm not sure about whether they tampered with the digi-beta's they received, but I would guess not.
edit-metalwario, I think that classic does its own method.

I'm gonna sound like a noob or idiot, but I have no idea. Only thing I did was hit save image in Media Player Classic, than I uploaded it to Photobucket.

So the original GT discs were an unraped Dragon Ball product that even had next episode previews.

^Well they're still in the Z season sets and the YYH ones

Knowing my luck they'll take them out and the GT rap will be the OP instead of Dan Dan.

I can almost guarantee that the angles will be gone. The DBZ-season-sets are the ONLY releases that still have them, not to mention that they apparently cut the bitrate in half for whichever scenes use them. (This was also why they were dropped.) However, we'll propably still get DAN DAN and the endings, as FUNi didn't have the Ultimate Uncut-opening on the DBZ-sets either.

Someone brought this up about the One Piece DVDs not having alternate angles (so the new gold logo was on the Japanese track, as well as the English written titles). One of the guys with FUNi said to let them know and they might be able to do something about it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the Yu Yu Hakusho-sets basically just the old discs put into a box-set? And the DBZ-movies don't have alternate angles, nor does the new release of Detective Conan AKA Case Closed, which apparently also had english episode-titles that didn't even remotely match the japanese ones.

And by the way, the "fix" that was suggested for One Piece was basically just adding the original footage as extras.

I can only imagine what it would be like to listen to the GT Rap with the visuals from Dan Dan.

Yes you're right. The YYH season sets are pretty much 2 of the 2 disc sets. I think we might still get alternate angles for DBGT only because Z is still getting them. At least for the titles card we might get them.

It sucks how the steelbook double features don't have japanese angles. Even though the Season Sets do have japanese angles, the Madman/Australian and New Zealand releases don't. I tried going to Japanese Mono on mine and it shows FUNimations.

Nope. It kinda sucks, but at least on the movie 1/2-pack, it's not really a big deal, seeing how movie 1 never had a title-card, and movie 2's english title actually IS a valid translation of the japanese one. Everything beyond those two is gonna be somewhat irritating, though.
