While Olivier and I bash heads every so often, in this particular thread and with these particular comments, I don't necessarily see any problem with how the opinions and points were presented. Sure, they don't contribute to and represent a positive impression of the movie... but that's OK. I don't love Kai (and am quickly growing towards the "don't care" position), but that doesn't mean I don't have anything relevant to say about it (and even going a little meta, as has been done in this thread, discussion about the discussion).Innagadadavida wrote:Then stop posting in this thread. This is getting a little needlessly snarky, though. Of course, it was personally and directly brought out... but still. Let's just not go down this route, folks.Olivier Hague wrote:Boy, you do sound like you care.
I will ask everyone to please be considerate of your peers, though, and recognize that we don't all have the same communication quirks. Keep it cool, yo.

You're right. I flipped through Oliver's recent posts to try to prove my point but all of the recent ones were tame and on-topic. I guess I just ignored those ones and only noticed the negative ones. So I apologize for bringing all this about, Oliver.VegettoEX wrote: While Olivier and I bash heads every so often, in this particular thread and with these particular comments, I don't necessarily see any problem with how the opinions and points were presented. Oddly, saw the Junior Nvel in Waterstones today tucked in between some shojo. I should have bought it, it must have been the only one in the country.
What did I buy, though, you ask? Transformers: The Movie. 2-Disc Ultimate Edition. For £2. Oooh, baby.
R.I.P. Optimus ;(

Just watched it........yeah.........I'm speechless. I had hopes for it, they went down when it came to release time, waited about a month later to watch it, just what I suspected.
I bet if everybody on this forum got together to re-make this movie as some sort of low budget flick, much like the Chinese and Korean movies, it would probably be way better than what I just watched.

I have to wonder if there's a difference between having a sequel announced before the first film opens in theaters and a sequel announced after the first film opens in theaters.
FOX announced Wolverine's afterward: http://news.yahoo.com/s/eonline/2009050 ... _eo/122213
But DBE's sequel was announced a couple days before: http://dbthemovie.com/2009/04/08/sequel-greenlit/
Which is a more normal period in which to announce such things?

On hiatus.
X-Men is announced immediately because it's an established movie franchise that has proven itself profitable. Hugh Jackman said they don't even have a screenwriter for the sequel yet.Chuquita wrote:I have to wonder if there's a difference between having a sequel announced before the first film opens in theaters and a sequel announced after the first film opens in theaters.

Fox won't publicly announce anything regarding a DB:E sequel until they're good and ready.
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

James Marsters interview:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOhE8i0LPc0
At 1:00 Marsters told Piccolo's backstory which oddly enough is not present in the movie at all. Even more weird is the backstory is actually pretty interesting and, yet, not a single word about this in the movie. What is going on here?!
Is James Marsters already talking about the sequel or what?
