I'm glad that it appears to be before RoF instead of following after it, simply because of the lack of Goten and Trunks aging. If it's only very shortly after BoG, their lack of aging is a little less extreme since they're 11 and 12 rather than 12/13 and 13/14. It's still bad, just not as bad. But I really hope that after this first arc, it skips forward and has them (and Marron) looking older.

I'm not keen on the pudgy Beerus, but Whis' counterpart looks interesting. If they are from another universe, it looks like there's counterpart characters and I'm definitely hoping for a Princess Vegeta. It's not consistent opposites, though, since Beerus' counterpart looks male.

I want Kuriza to appear, but I'm guessing Nakao will just be voicing an alternate Freeza and not his son.

EDIT: Thanks for the info. I'd thought that maybe there was new footage on the website's vid that wasn't shown during Kai's preview, and that it wasn't supposed to be released yet and was thus deleted.

Man forget Marron, Goten and Trunks. How about Dende, who has actually AGED, but was reduced down in size multiple times.

It does look likely it will be set pre F, all I can do is pray it's not! there's no confirmation yet, and maybe Toriyama and Toei just preferred the BoG designs... I need a glimmer of hope but it just seems unlikely. I'll still enjoy this though, but I just think post F/EoZ makes the most sense, as it is looking now (pre F) it's better than pre BoG at least!

I'm really surprised they picked in between BOG and F, it really was the longest shot for being chosen imo.
But I'm happy! I might yet get more ssjg Gokû, even if it's as he learns how to utilize it for blueper later on.

In addition to ssjg Gokû, there's so much other stuff I want to see that was teased at the end of BOG and eluded to happening prior to F. Just so excited. :3

Great, now we'll have the possibility of multiverse-counterparts hanging over our heads for another two months, at least. I would be all for random family members, that was bread and butter plotting in the Z era, but not arbitrary mirror images.

Okay, why is everyone acting like this is confirmed to take place in between BoG and RoF? Was anything like that even confirmed? All I've read thus far is a few people speculated it might, then some cursed about it being confirmed to take place then, and after that everyone seemed to go along with it.

Beerus is asleep between the two movies, so why would he be in the trailer and images if he was asleep? Why would they even set a whole series between the movie after just building it up? At most, I imagine we'll have an arc before that point (maybe less). I say imagine because nothing has been confirmed as far as I've seen (unless I missed something, if so, feel free to post).

I feel like this is important, as either I've missed some major confirmation, or this entire thread is making some massive assumptions.

If they set it after, all that happened before RF will never be explained in detail. How did Vegeta become involved with God stuff? How did they find out about the new form the first time? How did they come to change their trademark battle costumes?

Instead of having BATTLE OF GODS - [Unknown gap with unknown events] - RESURRECTION 'F' - SUPER, we get to have a no-gap continuity with the TV airing of RF:
BATTLE OF GODS - SUPER - RESURRECTION 'F' - SUPER.

And this is the exact gap that needs to be closed, since RF was the only time they showed "things have obviously happened making the characters obviously used to things you've never even seen before like new transformations already fully mastered", so actually filling that gap with all the missing events and information makes the most sense, doesn't it?

The two new movies and Super form a very close continuity, it's only natural that no gap at all would be left in-between Super episodes, Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F'.
And even more natural that Super would align with the RF TV airing in March/April for everyone in the country, even those who wouldn't pay for the cinema.

Yeah, they would never give Nakao a new role that has no relation to Freeza, especially right after the movie. His voice is too iconic at this point.
