Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
I haven't come across much that's wrong with this one, so far. I've unlocked all the characters now and haven't finished Galaxy Mode yet. The only thing I'm dissapointed with is the lack of costumes, which I think has been brought up already or in another thread. And I guess there could be more team attacks. This doesn't exactly ruin the game for me, those are just somethings that could improve the game, in my opinion.
I'd have really liked the option to play online team battles with a buddy on my side, but I guess for that I'll buy Tag VS. The short movie was awesome though, the animation and art work was fantastic.

I'd really dig an answer to this as well. If it were any other game where I'd be unlocking animation stills, I probably wouldn't care as much (Unless it were Evangelion), but seeing the crisp quality of these are amazing! The game itself runs at 720p, so these still must be a higher resolution than 480p, right? They are simply stunning and beautiful. I'm guessing they are cleaned up film-prints.Innagadadavida wrote:So does anyone know how they made these Dragon Ball Photos look so damn good? These have to be more than just Dragon Box screen caps. They have to be cleaned up film-print scans.

The lack of costumes have been brought up plenty of times in this here thread lol. I want to know if this game has DLC I mean if those slots are for enhanced characters then what would the DLC be?
Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
I specifically remember part of the DLC being color swap costumes.

I just watched this unboxing on Youtube, I think it's in Spanish, the front case was in English. He shows the back of the case, it has about five different languages on the back. Also someone is selling it on Amazon and the case is in English!oXdanXo wrote:Anyone who's ordered the CE, from amazon france, when it arrives could you let me know if the writing on the case is French or English?

I remember Devils mentioning it but it was never confirmed. Those recolors of Vegeta, Goku, Trunks, and Vegito where pre order bonuses for the UK(which I would of had if things in my life money wise didn't come crashing down before my very eyes...but I digress. It just sucks to think of what could have been.Hope ebay is feeling generous for a limited edition version!) but I don't really think any official source has said there will be color palette downloads.Rostir wrote:I specifically remember part of the DLC being color swap costumes.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
There are a few slight differences between the credits that role after you beat all the galaxy battles and the one that plays when you complete it 100%.
EDIT: Is there an item to lock out Raging Soul?

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
The DLC is just "Enhanced Characters", typically with a few items that you are unable to obtain yourself in the game. These are the same as the "Red Potara" characters from the Tenkaichi/Sparking series, and as our DLC from RB. The only difference is certain characters have an extra costume that features a changed pallet. Yamcha has a lighter orange for his dogi, Vegeta has the dark blue jumpsuit with black and green armor, etc. These characters were available as part of the collectors edition of the game in the UK and apparently Australia, but the US did get a few of these as bonuses; Goku and Kuririn went to Gamestop for preordering, I got Yamcha and Vegeta from Walmart, I suppose Target and the like may have gotten something too.FanofZgirls wrote:I remember Devils mentioning it but it was never confirmed. I should also note that apparently all the "DLC" characters can be obtained in game as well, as you gain enhanced versions of characters by beating the Battles Zones with them...or at least some of them. In addition to the Yamcha and Vegeta I downloaded from PSN, I have gained Mecha Freeza, Mecha Coola, Freeza, Coola, Kid Buu, Cell, SS3 Vegeta, SS3 Broli, etc. None of these extra characters have pallet swaps like my PSN set, but they all seem to be the same as of right now.
I may also need to not that some character I have tried to beat the Battle Zones with have not resulted in an Enhanced Character, like Goku (who was one of the ones with an alternate costume) and Vegeta (who I already had unlocked with my PSN code). So all in all, I have no idea what is really going on. xD
Well, Raging Blast was better than BT3 in everything but the number of characters and costumes, and Raging Blast 2 is better than the first game (especially if they fix the bugs).Zephyr wrote:I have a question for those who've played this thoroughly: Where does RB2 stack up next to BT3? Nah, that's Italian ("ciao" is Italian for "hello" and "bye"). If you think Spanish and Italian are similar, try Spanish and Portuguese.SSJSteve wrote:I just watched this unboxing on Youtube, I think it's in Spanish....

RB2 is better than BT3, IMO. The graphics and fighting system have clearly improved since BT3. Galaxy Mode is much more enjoyable than BT3's mediocre story mode. BT3 has more characters, but that's okay since some of them were pretty useless anyway. Plus, RB2 has an all new animated special.Zephyr wrote:Since this appears to have been overlooked, I'll repost it:

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
I haven't played Raging Blast 2 just yet, but speaking as a fan of the Sparking! series I will say that I found the original Raging Blast to be a significant downgrade from METEOR in terms of gameplay mechanics. So if RB2 is anything like the first game, I'll hazard a guess that it hasn't yet reached that level of being "better".
METEOR is a game I still play today. With the exception of a few key elements, I find that I can do just about anything in that game that I see in the series itself, and what's more I can do it at a lightning-fast pace that's jam-packed with HUGE special effects and general DBZ craziness. You can do a lot of the same things in Raging Blast, but between the tame-looking attacks and the switch in controls it doesn't feel like quite the same thing . . . at least, not to this Lemmy.
Still, this comes from someone who (again) has not played RB2 just yet. Here's hoping that there's at least some differences between the two games other than the Raging Soul system.

I agree, its just that I haven't completed the Galaxy Mode yet, its a real pain in the ass. But I can enjoy it at times as well.Innagadadavida wrote:I'm not disappointed because I never had high hopes to begin with. I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed Galaxy mode. Though I never want to go through it again. I'm very happy with the character selection. I'd like to see more henchmen in the future and more costumes.

I agree that Galaxy Mode can be diffcult like the "Near Death" fights. I have unlocked Super Saiya-jin 3 Broly and I like playing him a lot and i'm focusing on unlocking Cooler, Janamba and Bojack.

If any of you are having trouble with Galaxy mode.....just wait until you get to some of the later Ultimate Battles zones. >.>
Is there an item to lock raging soul?
I have stood by every single console DBZ game this side of Budokai 1 and loves all of them but the raging soul feature and the combo/block system; I loathe more than any thing else in the DBZ game universe.

So...I don't suppose we'll know when we get reports on how much this game has sold anytime soon?

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
It technically just came out on the 11th, so next week's figures should have it... if it places at all... and since the PSP game was in the top 10 during its first week, I think it's pretty safe to say we'll see RB2 pop up.

Ah, I see. I wasn't sure if the American release would get figures reported or not, but hindsight says it's not likely for an anime game to place well in the US amongst all of the big titles anyhow.VegettoEX wrote:It technically just came out on the 11th, so next week's figures should have it... if it places at all... and since the PSP game was in the top 10 during its first week, I think it's pretty safe to say we'll see RB2 pop up.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
This game had pretty much zero marketing since I have yet to see any Internet or TV adds for the game at the moment. I remember seeing a good amount of TV adds for the first game on Adult Swim, along with a few adds on sites like Gamefaqs, IGN, Gamefly, and Gamespot.
I doubt this game is going to sell that well.
