The lack of Vegeta I can understand. He's a cool guy. But why people would get upset over the lack of Super Saiyans... :( Is it a good thing for the main characters to shed their cool normal designs and become a group of bland and ugly identical twins? That statement Rocketman made about Super Saiyans being the face of Dragon Ball in the US is the most depressing statement ever made about the American fandom. I mean, yeah, SSJ Goku was pretty amazing back on Namek, and they were still very cool during the early Android Saga... but once the prestige wears off, you're left with nothing but ugly and hard to distinguish characters.

Not to argue or anything, I just couldn't help but expression my confusion at the general populace's Super Saiyan love. I've always thought they suck.

Well, the DVD comes out in July, right? I'd think FOX would, at least by the end of the summer, announce if they are or are not going to create a sequel.

I don't understand it, so much hate, so much hate..

I watched it in Philippines, it was pretty bad. The one is US was completely better. It wasn't THAT BAD. I think a sequel could be made still but with all the "fans" totally loving this movie, I don't think there will be one.

Remember that the super fans do not run things Dragonball related it is all in their heads.

If I recall correctly James Marsters stated in the beginning of DBE production that or Piccolo was green or he was out of the project. That and the numerous times he made the make-up artists completely change the look of Piccolo's face because he didn't look enough old and decrypted.

I think I'm gonna go with the latter. Keep it up, Professor. I wonder what the other camp should be called, though? (Insert adjective here) fans... hmm...

I think dinosaurs should have been in Evolution. Pterodactyls and T-Rexes and stegosauruses capture the Dragon Ball essence better than most of the important characters, strangely enough.

Look I do not care what they do to Vegeta really, the only time you would hear me complain if: 1. He is easily defeated and 2. He behaves like the manga/anime Kakarrot/“Goku”. Its not a job. Just gotta wonder why somebody even likes a character if they do not care how they are treated. I mean really why not just redub Dawson's Creek and rename Pacey Vegeta. If all you want is some live action character called Vegeta.

Fox greenlit a Revenge of the Nerds remake and even shot footage.

If Fox says they expected the movie to get terrible reviews and barely break even worldwide they are idiots or liars.

It is not that I just want to see someone named Vegeta running around, it is that the moody, angry theme comes built in the character. They tried to make “Goku” coincide with this theme and that is why I like this version far better than the anime/manga one. Regarding your Pacey comment, I actually liked the character until he screwed over his boy Dawson but that is a whole other subject. A younger Joshua Jackson would have made a pretty good Vegeta.

Christ. I've barely watched Dawson's Creek and I can still feel the sting of that. A direct and honest rejection hurts much less than trying to 'soften' things up with transparent bullshit.
