Because "the fans" are Chaos personified - a squalling, formless void of conflicting ideas and desires that is never, ever satisfied.

A very good post here.

Well Namdai thinks they're listening to their Japanese audience. We don' t have GT character or character creation because of this. Supposedly because their audience does not like these things. While the character creation I can argue against, GT not so much.

Three words: Super. Saiyan. Four.
Suppose so. My friend did say that he was disappointed about there not being any GT characters in Raging Blast or Raging Blast 2 (he bought them together recently), because he wanted to play as Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. And SSj4 Goku is pretty cool. Yeah, forget what I said, I was being a dick.

I recently played this with my brother. It really is a much better versus human game than it is a versus CPU game (I find that most well-done fighting games excel in both categories). So I've decided it's worth to keep around for when I have guests. Huzzah!
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Keep mind that the US audience is very different from the Japanese audience. While American fans might think its cool to see a create a character, or many GT characters but it appears that DBGT is not very popular with the Japanese fanbase.

Not to mention that these games are made by a Japanese inc, so there trageted audience is the Japanese fan base and not the US fan base.

I wonder how much truth Spike's statement about create a character and people's general statements about GT in regards to Japan actually holds. I mean if those two things really are hated among Japanese DB fans then why go through the trouble of adding GT characters in the 1st trilogy of Sparking games? Why have a CaC mode as one of the main functions of DBO(yeah I know Spike had nothing to do with this game)? I can go on and on about GT because its ridculous to say that the Japanese fans hate it so much yet it got DragonBox treatment, Its in all of the Carddass games and I'm pretty sure there many figures out there that are being developed that contain GT contents.

Because they were running out of relevant non-GT characters to toss in by the time they hit METEOR.

Because that's what you do in an MMO -- you make a character to play as.

^Would it be safe to say that DBO was made for the Korean audience, too? If so...then that could be a factor. For all we know, Koreans could be all about the CaC. :P

Well until DBO I've never had any interest in those style of games. Makes sence I guess, but it must not be doing well in Japan.

Probably so but Neiz, Dore, 14 and 15 are just as relevant as Spopovich and they weren't added until RB2.

Oh yeah, I forgot DBO was developed by Koreans. :P

Not necessarily made by Koreans. It's where the game is out right now.

I don't remember, has Japan gotten a release yet?

Why in Korea? And why is it taking so long to bring to the states?

Koreans are crazy about their MMOs. They really love them there.

About bringing it to the States, I dunno. Would Viz do an MMO?...

Wouldn't it be up to Namco Bandai?

Is Namci Bandai making it? I didn't know that... But what I meant was, since DBO is manga only, it'd be up to Viz for all the stuff FUNimation would normally do. Which would be awesome, because we'd see the Japanese names like Kuririn, Tenshinhan, Freeza, the whole Ginyu force, etc.

A company called NTL is making it. Namco Bandai is publishing it. It's like with Raging Blast 2. Spike made it, but Namco Bandai published it.

*Claps enthusiastically*

Turns out, they do listen to the fans. The Japanese fans. Which is where it should come from. Would it make sense if Toriyama had taken suggestions (from Americans no less) for where to take the series?

In America, the kind of suggestions they get are "LOL MAKE A CHARACTER CREATOR, GIVE US SSJ3 GOGETA AND KAIO-SAMA, ADD GT CHARACTERS EVEN THOUGH IT FAILED IN JAPAN, BRING BACK THE PSEUDO-STREET FIGHTER/DBZ ANTITHESIS BUDOKAI ENGINE, PUT IN BRUCE FAULCONER MUSIC EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ONLY THE MUSIC USED IN AMERICA UNTIL 2002" etc.
Thanos before Thanos was cool.

Thankfully they are bringing something closer to that back with the upcoming DS game.

I'm not sure if this has been said yet, but this game is currently $35 on Amazon as a Cyber Monday deal.

I was play some parts of the game at my local Gamestop the other day, and I think the gameplay itself so far seems like a improvement over the first game. I'm going to get the game for Christmas, and I can't wait to play it soon.
