It is true they have revealed a good bit about the movie already, but I'm still dying to know:
-What's up with the delighted exuberance Vegeta's tie-in movie figurine has going on?
-What kinds of powers does Uisu have?
-Why is Pilaf Gang so small?
-Will Goku have a brand new magic-based movie transformation to stand up against Birusu's magic?
-What exactly do Birusu and Uisu want with Goku?
-Why are Goku and Vegeta absent from Bulma's birthday party?
All things I'm really, really hoping we get an answer to before waiting for the movie to be out.
I'm also hoping we get another, more substantial trailer too.

Think we're heading into the final lot of news since now that I think about it, the movie's only a couple of months away. Really hope they start upping their game on marketing. It ain't gonna beat
One Piece at this rate.

I'm okay with it not beating One Piece Film Z; OP is pretty much an institution in Japan right now. As evidenced by the amount of money OPZ raked in vs Strong World nothing can top One Piece in money earned with the exception of more One Piece. I actually like One Piece a lot, especially as movies, so this does not bother me.
I just want BOG to be an enjoyable film. (And also for all the questions I wished to have answered in that earlier post answered.)
As for marketing itself though; yes. Please marketing blitz us, Toei. I've waited since July for this. Please spoiler away while putting out fun exciting tie-in merchandise.

I wonder if the movie will be #1 on it's first weekend? G.I Joe 2 comes out that same week in Japan as well.

I don't think the Japanese people give a shit about G.I Joe.

Yeah, they're completely different audiences. I mean, One Piece Film Z destroyed The Hobbit (in Japan). A G.I. Joe sequel seems kind of like a weak competitor imo. Especially since as far as I know, G.I. Joe doesn't really have a huge fanbase in Japan. Now if BOG was up against something like a Ghibli film, or something Disney, then I'd think twice about that competition.
About the VJump preview page; considering there haven't been any leaks since the last official magazine scans (
two weeks ago
) I think it's safe to assume they actually have new information to tell us that hasn't been reiterated elsewhere. Besides, OPZ's been out in theaters a while now, BOG is their next upcoming Shounen Jump property to be in theaters, and there's only a little more than 2 months left to go.

I think Battle of Gods will end up crushing G.I Joe at the box office in Japan. I was surprise that the new One Piece movie beat The Hobbit given that LOTR is pretty popular in Japan from what I've seen.

I just had a random thought.
Does anyone else think 0:41 and 0:52 link up and that these two scenes ultimately result in the screenshot of Goku stopping inches from Birusu's finger? Now I know you might be thinking that "just because it's in the trailer doesn't mean they're related", but since all of the promotional material seems to be based around the scenes featured in the trailer, I thought this might be something.
Here's the trailer for reference:

On a different note, I hope we start seeing some alternative posters soon. The current one is kinda generic and I'd really like to seeing something a bit more stylistic.

It's possible they do sync up; there was so much "just powering up" going on in that trailer that I feel like I never properly looked it over and that's why I didn't notice Birusu wearing a shirt in that one shot of him early on in the trailer.
Also! 2ch thread says special Shueisha sneak-preview of the movie on 3/12 to be screened in Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sapporo.
See #480 on the thread:
http://kohada.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/ani ... 356593020/
Also see adorable text-art of child!Goku on #486. I tried to copy-paste it here, but I think the font-types don't mesh and it didn't match up right.

I went to check 20th Century Fox's website, and Movie 14 isn't on their release date list.
http://www.foxmovies.com/ I find this to be interesting. Maybe they haven't decided to release Movie 14 in U.S. yet.
Edit: I even went as far to check Japanese Fox's site. Still nothing, but I found this small info.
Twentieth Century Fox International is a leader in filmed entertainment overseas, distributing a diverse slate of very successful films from the groundbreaking AVATAR to the critically-acclaimed BLACK SWAN. Other recent hits include RIO, RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES and X-MEN: FIRST CLASS. With offices around the world, the overseas distributor has enjoyed extraordinary success with its strategic sales and innovative marketing campaigns. In 2011, Fox International became the first distributor to reach the $2 billion mark in three consecutive years and the only one to pass the milestone in a given calendar year five times.
So Fox is a distributor, which means they are only responsible for sponsoring and distributing films. So there is unlikely they are going to dub the movie themselves, meaning Funimation will have a chance to do it.

If the film is quite successful, and knowing how much Toei loves money, I could definitely see them try to do at the very least another movie, like a year or 2 down the road.
I hope so. Next year is the 30th anniversary of the manga and DBZ's 25th anniversary. I want the next film to come out in December to match the original Manga's release date, but sadly December is when the One Piece movies come out. Maybe Toei can do a crossover film for the 30th anniversary. A crossover film could work since they are both popular series and Funi can dub it since they own the rights to both franchises.

Cross Epoch: the Movie?
I'd watch it.
About the FOX movies website; is it possible they'd originally planned on doing a U.S. theater run (hence the English option that used to be on BOG's site) and then backed down from it to do a DVD-only release?

There's a direct link to the official website on Fox Japan.

The FOX website does not always have the coming soon movies on there.

But yes it is listed on the JP website, really don't see why it would be shown on the US one.

Look again. It's on the front page (under line up). If you can't read the text simply use Chrome to translate the page.
And a sneak peak preview huh? Too bad its not until March, I'd like a new trailer sooner than that.

Anyway, I have posted a link to Fox's website. We need to ask them to let Funimation dub the movie.

I just basically sent an email out asking if it will be released in the US and if so who will dub it, not asking them to get FUNi to dub this. I should get a reply by next week.
