There are some pretty good fanarts, too.

And when my mother finds me investing my precious time trying to bond with this hot anime girl, I'll look straight into her eyes and say "but have you looked at the menu screen? have you actually seen the menu screen? In that very moment, she knows. She fucking knows. As she handles me the nugget pieces she previously cooked for me, she leaves my room with these words: "Persona 5 is the true savior of the JRPG".

In a blunt nutshell, no-one wants to read bullshit. Don't post bullshit. Be a cool person that posts cool things that other people would actually want to read. Don't be Zamasu from episode 63 talking to himself.
If that is simply Beerus' brother, and he just happens to have an attendant of Whis' race, and they both happen to be on par in strength with their counterparts, it completely ruins the uniqueness of both characters. =P

Chuquita, you better tumblr that so I can reblog it. xD
I really want ONE parallel universe where fan-fictions come true.
Kinda like Naruto's Road to Ninja movie, only actually done correctly this time because that movie was trash.

well isn't Jaco canon? why can't Neko Majin show up for a scene/episode for the lols?
Jaco and Neko Majin Z are in two different situations. The former was actually created to be a part of the story of Dragon Ball, while Z was created solely for the gags in such that Freeza is still alive, Vegeta still works for Freeza, etc. Z could still show up if they wanted to, but it's not as easy of a situation as it was with Jaco, as they would probably need to reestablish some things.
Direct translations of the Korean DB Online timeline and guidebook.
My personal "canon" and BP list. (Coming Soon)

That is seriously adorable, you have talent my friend btw what is that behind her? electrified tail?
Thank you! Yup, it's her tail. I remembered how "upset Vegeta" had an expressive tail in that scene in the saiyan arc where he realizes the moon is gone. :3
That looks more like a female Yamcha. Not that I wouldn't be interested in that, either. Yamcha needs some screen time one way, or another.

I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

I was just thinking, we're still unaware of how the Super manga is gonna be. Whether it's gonna be a recap of the last couple of episodes or it's gonna adapt the next episodes to get us hyped like the F manga. From my perspective, I'd feel it'd be the best choice to make it additional material instead of just a retelling of the same story. Cover up unanswered questions in the manga. For example, say Piccolo got super strong and the anime doesn't feel like showing what he did in order to not damage the pacing or because there isn't time or whatever, the manga could then go and dedicate a chapter, or part of it, to show Piccolo's training.
The manga will have more black and white SSJG Goku images, but none will show up in the anime, driving Chuquita mad.

Still, I'm disappoited about both. I wanted original character designs, not copyxpaste from what we already have. Its already enough copyxpaste Buu arc Goten, Trunks and Marron in all the new stuff. Will the other Gods turn out to be a small purple Beerus?! A giant purple Beerus?! Suddenly comparing to this, just change the color scheme doesn't sound so bad. Pathetic! Seems like this is an aternate universe yeah, but damn, this isn't the new characters i was hoping for. At least, its confirmed we will go the gods route.
About the timeline, seems like this takes place before ROF...Forget about after EOZ, this doenst even take place after ROF?! wtf?! Maybe Super will be the bridge that connects the movies we will be getting. But eh?!
Well, as far bad things go Fat Beerus and Whis Waifu > Golden Freeza. And at least, the new characters aren't minions like Sorbet and Tagoma turn out to be. We finally got another female, even though its just another Whis... Seems like it still isn't the time for us to get Purple Cell, now I wonder if Goku will get a green form?!
Right now when it comes to character designs, laziness is law. Can I at least ask for Fat Beerus and Whis waifu have great peronalities like their counterparts?! Thank you.
I wonder if we will see counterparts of the Z team too.
On a side note. Gotta love this part of the fanbase. Art about the new stuff is already out there. I love to see these things.
By the way, that new Goku art by Toyotaro is beautiful. Love it.
We don't know who they are or what their role is, calm down. You can't call Toriyama lazy when you don't even know the context.
dbzfan7 wrote:So when can we expect maybe some bio translations? The website has character bios. I'm sure it'll be a while though so no rush.
They are apparently the exact same bios used for Battle of Gods. So there is nothing to translate.
Just the BOG bios....well that sucks. I was hoping we'd get something new.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
