If it turns out to be true, that's very exciting. I was certain there wouldn't be a sequel. Let's hope they get less things wrong this time. We know that the negative feedback got quite a few things changed in Evolution. Fox might learn from their mistakes from the last movie. And I hope the writer (what was his name, Ben Ramesy?) won't be returning.
I'd love to see a more accurate DBZ movie that meshes well with the established plot and story elements of Evolution.

Ben Ramsey was fired, so I don't think he'd be back.
I heard about the whole "sequel confirmed" thing on JAPPO's site a couple days ago; but I didn't want to be the messanger. ^^;
Honestly, I don't think I'll be completely convinced that this sequel is going through until they actually get out there and start shooting.
(They better not mess up Vegeta. I don't think I could deal with another Chatku.) >_>

Hahaha, I thought of that happening. Wearing movie Goku gi at a con and getting mugged by everybody who hated that movie. The thing is though, I don't go to cons.JAPPO wrote:I'm not sure anyone there could kick ass.The Time Traveller wrote:That looks very nice!
You should go to a con in that, only you'd probably get your ass kicked...
Damn I was going to edit my message yesterday adding in that Marsters confirmed a sequel but wasn't sure if it was true and kept my fingers shut.

Pretty much. XD
He posted it to his site 3 days ago; I still occasionally visit it.
Though the only thing I'm waiting for now is to hear clips from the Japanese dub of the movie; just because I want to hear what Haruhi!Bulma and Ussop!Goku sound like. And I still kinda want to draw them with Luffy!Kuririn. (And maybe Kyon!Yamcha and Mikuru!Launch.)

Chuquita's a sensitive person. This is bad news indeed. :(
I don't mind so much if the sequel's as obscure as the original. At least then it won't be a complete embarrassment to humanity. And I have to admit, the massive negative whiplash was fun. Let's hope the second manages to score below a 10% at RottenTomatoes. Evolution will never be a genuinely good franchise, but I'll be able to enjoy the series in a sense if it manages to lower the bar every time.
I bet Haruhi!Bulma will be awesome. Aya's an amazing voice actress. Just look at her switching between Haruhi and Konata in episode 16 of Lucky Star.

Ignoring the typical nasty comments, I'm glad to hear the sequel's moving forward. I can't wait to see how they'll start moving forward into Z material. Hopefully it will follow the trend of "superhero movie #2" typically being better than the first in the series.
I actually made and wore a DBE Goku costume to Otakon last year (we hadn't become privy to some things like the belt yet, so it's not entirely accurate), and while I was the only one who had seemed to do so, it went over pretty well. Even folks who don't like the movie can usually agree that it's a kickass version of the Kame gi.ultimateemail5000 wrote:Hahaha, I thought of that happening. Somebody sent me a message on YouTube:
I hate to say it man, but you're wrong. Really. I did some research: that statement is from a fansite, NOT marster's official site as claimed. And that fansite got it from a fan magazine in the Netherlands.
As for Marsters, on his OFFICIAL site www.jamesmarsters.com, he says he's ALREADY back from Europe, and he's going right into production on "The Importance Of Being Earnest" with LA Theatre Works. NO MENTION of a DBE sequel.
In fact, according to echo1v (who is a trustworthy source, btw) Justin Chatwin's official site has him slated for multiple off-Broadway plays and an independent film, so he'll be busy through the fall. There is no sequel as yet, man.

The source on Daizex homepage links directly to James Marsters official press release archive. I find that a little more reliable than some guy on YouTube, no matter how much research it sounds like he did. That's not to say I'm not skeptical though. I'll wait for an official announcement before I get excited.
The kiddies on YouTube don't take things they don't agree with very well.
EDIT: Wait.. I just realized that guy claimed the site is a fansite. I'll look more into that. For now, disregard anything I said.
I bet they're one-starring it because it's about a Dragon Ball Evolution sequel.ShinRogafuken wrote:Hey Mike please reply about this, thanks I would appreciate it because people are 1 starring my video that I made talking about the info you posted because they say its false.

Can anyone tell me what the name of the undershirt used in this costume is?ultimateemail5000 wrote:This thread looks like it's dying, so I thought I could revive it. I gotta admit, the movie isn't great but the one thing that stuck out more than anything was Goku's gi, dogi, whatever the fuck you want to call it.
I already posted a link to the movie version costume I found online, but searching eBay I found one that is waaaay better than the one at a other site.
Being the fan nerd I am, I just couldn't help myself and gave in. I had to buy it. I don't have it yet it's still being made, but this is the link that shows all the details of the costume.

One day I'll put it on a display or something in a room full of collectibles. I also plan on getting very trashed this year at a halloween party wearing that. Drunk Goku all the way.
The blue one with the stand up collar. I have been looking for a shirt like this but have no idea what it's called.

So, the article was from a month ago, featuring an interview from possibly two months ago...?NOTE BY SKY: Nautilus is a German Fantasy and Sci-Fi Magazine which released the interview with James Marsters already on the 15th of May, so some information within the article could be a bit outdated. If the DB sequel is green-lit or not, only FOX knows. James answered the question with information he had been given by FOX at the time he did the interview (most likely at the beginning of April).
Around the same time Marsters "confirmed" the sequel in a TV guide interview?
Y'kno, before the movie's awful premier in 8th place?
I think the fact no one's said anything about it since then says a lot. JAPPO's site has footage of him talking about the movie on stage at what's got to be a later date than this interview and he doesn't say a word about any sequel.

That message was pretty accurate. Civilized James is a James Marsters fansite.ShinRogafuken wrote:JAPPO, read the above post I made with the YouTube message. What's going on?

The cited article has a foreword that the information "could be a bit outdated", considering the interview itself was likely from early April.
The foreword itself makes it pretty clear that there's no official confirmation and that "only Fox knows" if a sequel has been green-lit.

ShinRogafuken, where'd you get the "Vegeta is related to--" information from? Is that your own theory for how you think its going to turn out? Or is that a fact from a source?
