Are you saying that even if Spike came back that they couldn't do better than Tenkaichi 3? That shows how much people believe in their beloved developer.
TheGmGoken wrote:miguelnuva1 wrote:Please let Tenkaichi HD come out.
Lots of assumption in one post.
1. I'm thinking that NB wants to go in a new direction than spike and thus getting a Tenkaichi HD might be the only game they can make.
2. I would actually love for SPike to make a game based on Treevax's ideas with enough time to actually make the game. Tenkachi 4 or RB3 is my dream DBZ game.

I believe the latter half of the trailer contains new footage:

Don't know why people are hating on BoZ for being a button smasher, after all, Tenkaichi and Raging Blast could be played just by doing so even though that the more technical/advanced players would know how to dodge the newcomers.

Namco Bandai is releasing a special edition in Europe titled 'Goku Edition'. I hope that artbook has actual concept art as opposed to renders.

Oh I hope so too!
It will probably be around £49.99 to £59.99 (a PS4/Xbone games cost £54.99 anyway) so I wouldn't be surprised.
Although if it cost like £39.99 or £44.99 I'd definitely pick it up but realistically, that won't happen.

There's a bit in that interview with a/the producer on Battle of Z:
Dragon Ball Z continues to be one of the most popular Japanese animation and game series in the UK. Why do you feel this is?
I think because Dragon Ball is an exciting series. It’s really the story of Goku as he grows up and becomes stronger and stronger and so do his opponents (Vegeta, Frieza, Cell, etc). So people watching this constantly wonder ‘What’s going to happen next? How strong will he get?’.
What improvements and new features has Battle of Z added and was it a challenge to find new ways to raise the bar for a Dragon Ball game?
A new feature unseen in previous games is Team Melee Battle. Previous DBZ games have been focussed on one-on-one bouts but this new feature is focussed on team battle. Up to 4 players can form a team to battle against multiple opponents in the same stage at the same time, allowing players to experience DBZ games in a new way. Obviously a single Z-Warrior is impressive by themselves but this new gameplay allows up to 8 such fighters on screen at once. There will also be giant boss battles such as the Saiyan’s Great Ape forms, so combined with the team battle concept players will get to look forward to many memorable and exciting battle opportunities.
Who is your favourite Dragon Ball character and were there any you would have liked to add to the game but couldn’t?
As you know Dragon Ball has many sagas but unfortunately on this occasion we were unable to add characters from Dragon Ball GT. In future games we’d like to correct this.
Soul Calibur 2 will be receiving a HD re-release. Is there any chance that older DBZ games could also see such a re-release?
Obviously last year we released Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD Collection which contained Budokai 1 and Budokai 3 remastered in HD. If there’s enough voices of fans asking for more we’ll consider it because of course we want to bring the fans what they like.
What would you like to see next for DBZ games?
Personally I prefer to see games show clear progress rather than just number of elements. Obviously with this game the progress is the team battle elements both for single player and online and I feel the mixture of the two will allow players a greater ranger of freedom in experiencing the DBZ world.

Really?
Many fans asked for the Wii U (GameCube) version which featured Link (best exclusive character in SC2) and they never gave us, they even got to the point of creating a
petition. I hate when they say "we'll bring it if the fans want" when it's just bs.
As Namco Bandai failed to do so, I bought Soul Calibur 2 for the GameCube (price probably wouldn't be much different anyway).

That was more Nintendo then Namco Bandai. It was said they would need more time to figure out SC II on the Wii U.

If you bought a Wii U expecting to play third party games you bought the wrong platform.

The collector's edition looks nice, but the US is never going to get it. I think Budokai 3 is the only DBZ game in the US that got a collector's edition from what I can remember.

Nope. It was for the exclusives but Namco Bandai not releasing the best version of SC2 was a disappointment.

Wasn't that cause it was voted fighting game of the year

Most likely since that was when people still care for DBZ. I remember the Budokai 3 collector's edition had a toy Dragon Ball and a DVD with behind the scenes of the voice recording. The market for DBZ is not very big these days in the US which is why these collector's editions won't get released here in the US. Not enough people will pre-order them and they will be a waste of space at places like Gamestop.

As I said before that was not NB's fault, it was more on Nintendo's new system.

Dang, had I thought to check if Grant was going to ask Bandai questions I'd have suggested he ask about teaming up with Shueisha and Toei for the new animation in the last few games.

Might actually consider importing the special edition, wouldn't mind having the figure and the art book. Pretty decent extras compared to what we've had in previous years.
One thing, though:
http://www.kanzenshuu.com/2013/11/04/ba ... in-europe/
including a never-before-seen GOKU figurine
Really? Because I could've sworn that I've seen this figure before...

You have. These are sold out at amiami.com a while ago. In fact, I bought that exact same figurine this past August at the Toronto Fan Expo.
The world is your's.

The pubs/devs not wanting to release it on WU isn't Nintendo's fault but their own and then they wonder why they get criticised for denying the best version of the game.
Sega could have released Sonic Lost World also on PS4, Xbone and Vita but in this case it was a exclusivity deal that Nintega made.
