You do realize that Link was designed without a personality in order to match the players right? He's the link between the player and the game. The only game to break that tradition was Skyward Sword.

Hear Hear! Heihachi is awesome.

To be fair though, like Ozaru said, Link isn't really meant to have a real personality.

Thats just assuming that everyone who plays Zelda wants to be hero riding a horse saving a princess and her kingdom. I for one dont care much for being a hero, I just like the lore and mythos of the Zelda world oh and Ganon is the man.

Hell yeah Heihachi ftw! If anything he'd make a good guest character for a DBZ game. Especially with his hairstyle.

That could've happen if BoZ were coming to WU because like Tekken Tag 2 it has exclusive Nintendo costumes/music which is really cool and makes it feel more than just a Tekken game.

But honestly, BoZ isn't worthy of being released for the Wii U.

It couldn't. Developers from this gen must really hate Tapion, because it's the second game we're getting a Hirudegarn boss battle without him.

So I haven't been keeping up with this game at all, come back for news and I find a discussion about Link and Heihachi. Slow news then? Can anyone give me a few bullet points of the past weeks with this game? Last I heard, Goku was having a Naruto outfit.

This is the roster of the game:
And this is Treevax's review of the demo:

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

So a boring roster with boring game play. Sounds like a second hand buy for me, and only because I've recently have been collecting them.

Heres what a few of us think of this game. Think this sums it up nicely.

Would it be possible that Namco Bandai changed their minds and kept Goku with Naruto's costume as the only DLC character?

It's the only DLC character they advertised on the new Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z - PS3/X360/Vita - A Fierce Battle of Gods (Trailer) despite what the website says, it's tad confusing. It'd be for the better because Super Vegito doesn't make any sense being DLC though I can kinda see why they'd do it for Super Bardock.

It's way more likely that they're just no longer talking about it, waiting for us to forget about the fact that they're still keeping them as DLC. Personally, as much as I'd like to have Goku with the Naruto costume and be guaranteed to get Super Saiyan Bardock straight away....I'm starting to really not care. (For some reason, I would've been slightly more okay with it if the 3rd character was Chilled instead of Vegetto.)

At this point, I'm just hoping that the characters do have unique abilities that play a bigger part in the gameplay, like they seem to do in ZBR.

PS: In the arguement of Heihachi vs Link, as far as being the better Soul Calibur character, I side with Link. Y'know, the guy with a sword in a fighting game about people with swords that use swords to fight against each other.

I take it no one liked Spawn in SC2  ? I wonder how much the DLC characters will end up being? If they are $5 a character then I'm not going to bother with it.

I know we haven't really played the game yet. But from what we saw and what we know. Compare this to Ultimate Tenkaichi.

OST(We've heard some OST in demos at Expo)

For a cinematic experience Ultimate Blast definitely wins it but as a game, I gotta handle it to BOZ as it has actual gameplay.

The similarities between Battle of Z and Tenkaichi 1 are uncanny.

Bland gameplay, playable giants and no in game transformations.

You know what? F**k it, I'm not spending a dime on this piece of trash.

Well, I only played the X Box version of SC2 once, but I did like playing as him. I'm just a nintendo fanboy so SC2 on the gamecube was an obvious choice for me. Especially since the Legend of Zelda is pretty much my favorite video game franchise of all time.

I'd buy it off a disappointed friend for like $5  .
