I have mixed feelings on this. On one hand, it's demonstrated how the Yardratian's abilities are capable of spacially preserving the user under these circumstances. On the other, how much should we expect from a foot-note who was literally kicked aside to make room for Caulifla's makeshift training session with Goku?
