Not everyone is like Goku who doesn't really care about winning and just wants to fight fairly. Toppo and Jiren want to make Goku tired so they have more chances to win and protect their universe.
Do you think their plan succeeded? If not, do you think it was a sound plan?

If U7 fighters were eliminated too soon, it would leave us with a bunch of fighters we know nothing about. Also fans would be complaining that they brought characters back just to have them be fodder and not do much.

Really, we only saw the first five minutes of this tournament so far, so the other Universes may start eliminating more in the next episode (which will probably cover 25 seconds exactly).

They seem to hint that Universe 2 is going to kick some ass next week. I think Jiren and Toppo might start eliminating some fodder as the battle heats up.

I knew Kale would start controlling her power, because Caulifla doesn't *stop* giving her boosts of confidence.

It just shows the complete lack of focus when they keep setting up match-ups only to completely disregard them in the very next episode. Sometimes in the very next scene. Basil vs Napapa, Lavenda vs Gohan's group, Freeza vs Napapa, Vegeta vs Botamo and Magetta, Vegeta vs Cabba, 18 vs the female Pride Trooper back in the first episode (they didn't even acknowledge they had fought before in this episode, did they?).
The only reason I have this tournament better than the Universe 6 one is because more people get to do something. Other than that it's about on par for how much of disappointment it is. Actually I take that back. While quality wise I have them kinda close, this tournament is a bigger disappointment as it fucking pisses away all it's potential left and right. These episodes have been making me want to rush to the conclusion so things can start to matter again and structure will be easier with a lower character count.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

PIS is sadly part of Toriyamas outline(see Mai surviving from being killed by Black for example). Anything just blame him for it.

I dont mind this arc because it reminds me of One Piece Marineford but with better animation.

The tournament has been great so far, and as the fighters get winding down we'll certainly get huge fights among the last few fighters.

I just hope Piccolo does something...lol

I think its a shame to, I'm also not happy about how some of the other universes are getting treated. I support U11 but I'd like to see them all shine a bit.

That being said you kind of answered your own question, U10 were the central universe last arc. It would be kind of boring if the next big threat came from there. In many way the nature of U10 as the meathead, body builder universe goes a long way to explaining why Zamasu would be unsatisfied with his universe's mortals. It would also explain why the Barbarians did not progress quickly.

I feel worse for U3, both its iconic warriors were very coldly dispatched.
Obviously they wouldnt be the major threat, but seeing as how uni 6 had a whole arc dedicated to it and they seem to be major players, it wouldn't be out of place for uni 10 to be relevant, no?

He had no pupils in the PV and thats a bad sign, he had no pupils when:
Nappa btfo him
Imperfect Cell btfo him
Beerus KOing him with chopsticks
Being killed by Frieza in FnF

Does anyone have an updated chart of all the fighters in the tournament with the new ones knocked out from the recent ep?

Yes, and it will be Piccolo for the looks of it(he had no pupils in the preview).
I noticed that. Quite troubling indeed, although not a confirmation of getting eliminated, but still not a good sign. I think ArchedThunder is right however.

Not really. Gowasu was blown away by the level of strength Goku had at SSJ2. Not surprised that U10 didn't have that great of warriors in them. Even if they did, losing to Frieza at the level he's at now is nothing to be ashamed of.
How i predict the tournament will end:

Loved this episode

Finally we had a great massive fight, androids vs Khaseral, pride troopers vs all, and then the two saiyan girls saving the day, great episode really

I didn't expect at all to pride troopers to job this bad, really, they were hyped up to be awesome and dangerous warriors back in the arrivals episode, but they're gone so easily I still can't believe that
Damn, if Gohan went mystic, could have easily wipe them out in seconds

And please, PLEASE, stop this horrendous Jiren treatment

The whole " silent, mysterious warrior who is supposed to be way stronger than everyone else" worked for the first - first two episodes, but now it's really more than enough, I feel like they're forcing this thing too much
I find him to be the most anonymous, useless and ugly character created by far, very disappointing
Him simply staring at other fighters and his companions with that idiotic, post lobotomy face it's going to be fuckin ridiculous lol
The guy looks retarded

But you know it won't, you watch the universe 6 arc where they had less characters and it was just like this.

I don't think people understand. Had they done it traditional or dark tournament style, it still would have felt disjointed and unfocused because thats super's greatest flaw.

Its inconsistent because i don't think the writers are communicating with each other which anyone can easily guess. I came into this arc for fun fights and and cool designs and i got that. which is why I'm happy with every episode.

Wanna bet Piccolo is reacting to Magical Girl Bullshit? "This is worse than Gohan..."

Also, if Piccolo was getting eliminated in the next 2 episodes, I think we'd have been spoiled about that by now

If magical girls are coming, that makes sense, they are all about love and stuff, piccolo should react like that, especially if they turn out to be stonger than him because of love..
Dude would probably break down crying because all this time, his life was wasted on futile training, alas! If only he had loved gohan more
