I don't think that's true at all - he never wore armour in the Boo arc, so I feel it was just part of his ever changing outfit. And that's why I absolutely hate that it has returned and we're stuck with it.

What's inaccurate about it? The way I see it, that's exactly what would have happened. Training is one thing, but all the Toriyama content we've seen with him after the Buu Arc has him constantly going back to the armor for anything he considers "formal". He's the Saiyan Prince. He has a giant ego (and it returns with a vengeance). If he were allowed to wear the armor at the Budokai, I'm fairly certain Vegeta would have tossed it on yet again. Especially with the prospect of fighting Goku again being on the horizon.

Yes, I know it's a sequel. I'm saying it doesn't feel like one, there's a gap in-between the two films that needs to be filled.

Yes. It was described as such by Toriyama in the September 2014 issue of V-Jump.

Just the fact that I don’t have to draw anything means I can obsess completely over the smallest bits of dialogue. This time will of course be a continuation of the previous Battle of Gods, but I’ve deliberately increased the amount of action scenes by a good deal. Oh I don't doubt the scans, it's the translation. ANN's translations have become kind of infamous around here for their inaccuracy as of late. That's why I wait for Kanzenshuu.

It's your opinion though. Does that armor being iconic play a factor? I'm sure. More than a small one more than likely. That doesn't mean that had to be the chosen outfit. Not liking the armor and believing it only sticks around for the sake of nostalgia doesn't render what I'm saying inaccurate. If the outfits were only sticking around 100% because of that, we wouldn't have gotten costume changes with Battle and Gods of Resurrection F for the various characters. All of them would have been stuck in arrested costume development for anything new.

Yeah, I don't think that armor gives any protection at the level they at.
And the armor is more Frieza's race then Saiya-jin in my opinion. He just wears it because it's his fighting gear not because of his race.

For the armour debate, since Goku not wearing armour was brought up, I should point out that as of his Saiyan Saga training, Goku's gi is effectively armour (though much like the saiyan armour it probably doesn't affect that much at such a high level of strength).

And the armor is more Freeza's race then Saiya-jin in my opinion. He just wears it because it's his fighting gear not because of his race.

The armor the Saiyans use is technically from Freeza's forces, but it's so ingrained in their society that they consider it their own as well. In fact, Vegeta makes a comment about it in JSAT, if I'm not mistaken.

Seems fun. But I hope we eventualy go to the serious route (maybe when Fat Beerus and Whis Waifu come).
Light atmosphere is nice but I choose DBZ over DB anyday.

ROF is the perfect example of what I want. Now, just give me a new villain that is actually a threat.

I feel somewhat...underwhelmed that this might take place pre-BoG. Hopefully it is only for the beginning of the series, I was kind of hoping for some forward momentum after the last two films rather than backtracking.
