The Tenkaichi EU / Sparking covers were really good but you stated that by having more characters you think it'd end up making it a better cover? Have you forgotten the mess that was Battle of Z's cover?



I'm disappointed that the Xenoverse cover doesn't feature any custom characters, Heroes, GT but just Super Saiyan Goku from the Z series (it'd be fitting if it were a Z-focused game but it isn't).

I like the cover they chose for the game it's plain and simple.
The colors are great as well as Goku.

I'm actually fine with just Goku on the cover. Wish he wasn't so off to the left though. I wouldn't want him centered, but he should be a little closer to the middle.

Also one part of the translated scan says "First Print Editions come with an Amazingly Beautiful extra bonus!". I wonder what that would be.

Artistically the cover in itself looks great and far better than Battle of Z but it's tiresome that they're using once again content of the Dragon Ball Z series rather than having variety and allowing the customers to see that there's more to it than just Dragon Ball Z. First impressions are very important especially from those who're willing to pay for it.

The cover is mostly fine. Could it use a little bit of extra content? Sure, but that doesn't mean it needs it. As things stand right now, the game does seem to be focused on Z. Yes, we have custom characters. I feel like they are better not using any on the cover though as the created characters are supposed to represent us and having someone else's design as a focus kinda takes that away. We also have GT characters, but we don't know the extent that they will be focused on in the game. It could be possible that they are just bonus characters and have no story missions that revolve around them. I doubt that is the case, but we just don't know yet.

If they needed to add something though, I would suggest Time Patrol Trunks and maybe his time machine. Maybe some shadowy Towa and Mira in the background too, so they can focus on the theme.

Seems like the same one who did the redone Kai art. I'm not a fan of his style. Otherwise, the box art looks good.

Dragon Ball is no longer a game franchise that anyone besides the fans look forward to so Bandai Namco should be making more effort to try and sell the game to outsiders too.

Dragon Ball games haven't been good since 2008 or 2010 so Bandai Namco really needs to step their game up and think of the casual customers too.

The cover looks good as it is, but something like some silhouettes of the new characters in the bg would be nice. Not everyone is aware of DB online so if the average gamer saw characters they didn't recognize they may be more intrigued to buy the game.

I've already addressed how that could be a bad idea in my previous post. In addition to that, most of their default designs (like the Future Warrior "Bandai") aren't exactly great. Having them on the cover could turn people away if they barely glance at it and see some uninspired designs shoved on there.

That's what I was thinking. I remember the almost universal backlash to the future warrior guy here when his design was shown.

It would still be good to have some variety due to the lack of interest gamers have nowadays towards the games, too.
