Well, that's a pleasant surprise. At least they've somewhat addressed fan complaints.

Yeah even though the cropping is annoying and I wished it was 4x3 it's not like it absolutely destroys the viewing experience. at-least not for me :? it's not like me not getting to see that little bit of sky or someone's leg is going to kill me haha I'd just get them bud. they're cheap and they look better than the orange bricks. good luck on the Dragon-boxes though if you're trying to get them.
Well I gave up on trying to buy all of the dragon boxes and instead I've bought all of DBZ Kai. Now I'm patiently waiting for funimation to start dubbing the buu saga of Kai

Interesting, everything I've ever heard come out of Hebert regarding the old dub is praise.

I didn't really see a point in commenting on this at first, but since someone else brought it up, Gen Fukunaga semi-patting himself on the back for changing "Zero" back to "Goku" is of course supsect, given literally every other change FUNi's dub made, and sticks to, to this day. Maybe fifty years from now a new licensor will non-chalantly giggle that they purged "Hercule" completely.

Also, I sadly now know how to pronounce "Cocanougher". My way was better.

He's admitted some of the lines were goofy, and he's implied that he wasn't fond of sounding like a monster truck announcer, but it was the job he was hired to do. However, Hebert started working for FUNi when the scripts started to get better.

The end of Namek always stood out to me. The color pallet seems really unique Image

The freeza saga was always my favorite and I loved the colors of the sky when the planet was getting close to exploding.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Same here. There were some really good aesthetics during that time. I thought it was very atmospheric when the sky was red with hints of dark green in places.

He actually bragged about how that wasn't in the Japanese version and he gave the english writers huge props for adding that in  I face palmed so hard.
I would love to see this community put together a parody of this video, in the same format, breaking character when told to praise the dub work.

So far from screenshots, It looks like Season Three is very pinkish. I would be surprised if Orange Bricks win here.

That trailer gives me a serious old-school Toonami vibe. I like it.

Same here. I have to say, whoever is in charge of marketing over there is doing a pretty great job. I really have enjoyed these short little ads for their BD's.

And they're all gonna be around here long after we're dead. So, in a way, those things are more realer than any of us.

Yeah the menu's and the level sets do the exact same thing. Just a little nudge nudge to the fans haha :)

I think it's way worse. Here it's actually a strong purple tint, and it's due to crappy RGB balance. The Dragon Boxes had a pink tint, but it was due to the film itself, and wasn't as strong of a tint anyhow.
