Like I said, he was just kind of along for the ride. I suppose somebody needed to keep Vegeta company as he traveled from Japan.

Two weeks ago you joined a forum dedicated exclusively to the discussion of a Japanese franchise made for little kids. Don't judge.

Right... and there are people who are ready to pay hundreds of dollars to buy a signed sweaty shirt from a player to hang on their walls, footballs to put on their desks instead of kicking them, basketball shoes that do not fit in their feet and baseball cards and yet, seems normal!

These are not just toys. These are collectible items for the adults and are seen as worthy as any artifact. Not the same as the 5$ kid stuff that they smash them against the walls or make them "fight" in a rough matter until they brake. Ask the Transformers fans.

To make it even further, there are age rating for these "toys". yes! There are "toys" that you need to be at least 15 or 16 years old to handle.

Like StarRot said, you're never to old to have fun. I collect stuff I like, be it a doll, figure, or statue. If it looks good to me (and if I can afford it) I'll buy it. Besides, as an artist these figures inspires me to draw more.

I don't care how awesome these repainted versions are. Until I get one with Goku's usual silly grin face I will never be 100% satisfied.

Yeah, I feel ya. I knew there wouldn't be a "happy" Goku face, but I still wished there would be. Anyway, here's a better, but not great, pic:

Got volumes 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 on that Amazon sale two weeks ago. Couldn't be happier for the price.. and the best thing is that I had a $100 amazon gift card plus $20 amazon credit so for all five volumes it came out to $119.95.. with 5 cents to spare. :D So basically I paid nothing out of pocket for them.

Now to get that pesky volume 2 that keeps going out of stock everywhere.. I guess I have no choice but to get it from Rightstuf for $45, even though I said I wouldn't pay more than $30 for them.. I guess it's worth it though.

Lol I'm 21. This is a hobby and I enjoy it dearly. There is no age limit for this, I'll be doing it when I'm married with kids. So no. I'm not "a little too old", I'm actually fairly young still.

Excellent, I REALLY need to get on the DragonBoxes. I want them... a lot.

Eww Satan, Bleh! Lol.
CODii wrote:Hey guys! I've been meaning to make a post for a while, but haven't gotten around to it.

First up wasn't technically a purchase on my part. It was a birthday gift from a friend. I'm not exactly sure what line this is from, but I really like him. He looks like he's about two seconds away from kicking some serious ass. :P

snip*

Next up is a figure that I finally broke down and bought. Boy am I glad that I did! He is absolutely the highlight of my collection. I spent a bit more on him than I wanted to, but oh well...

snip*

Finally is a figure I kind of got stuck with. As most of you are probably aware, I have a "Vegeta only" policy with my figures. Well, the only HQDX Majin Vegeta I could justify price wise was being sold together with the Goku from the same line.

snip*

I am keeping the Goku in the box so I can attempt to sell him and recoup some of the cost from the Vegeta. If anyone is interested here is the link to the eBay listing.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :MESELX:IT
The Vegeta is from Bandai's "HG" or High Grade line. It's a step down in quality from Digital Grade but before Digital Grade HG was regarded as the best sculpted gashpaon figures to date. And I never got that set, I actually should get it one of these days, I really like that Vegeta, nice dynamic stance.

Sweet pickup on the Majin Vegeta, he's one of my all time favourites, and I never liked that Goku ugly as all hell and his hair is too big.

You should get them as soon as you can, or at least the first four boxes. You never know when FUNimation will stop printing them for good.. The Dragon Boxes aren't like the brick sets that will be there for a long time. They will actually go out of print sometime in the next years.

I've been having trouble getting volume 2 (Amazon, Walmart, Target and Best Buy are all out of stock).. That should tell you about how limited these sets are. So you should definitely get them when you can.

I only payed $55 shipped from a Buy It Now before SDCC was over, which is cheaper than any of the others currently on there now. Auctions could always go for lower than I paid, but I didn't want to have to keep fighting people to try and get a decent price.
