How could it be fake?

Unless someone found the font, does a really good Chris Sabat impersonation and is partially good at Adobe After Effects, I doubt it's a fake, it looks like a pretty good trailer too.

Lord knows why they didn't include the box art though, to tease?

It looks pretty legit. But my heart she has been broken before.

Aww... And I was just about to post this after I saw the news of this channel on the Arlong Park forums...

Well, if there was ever a doubt in my mind about it after the Rightstuf confirmation, it has been completely alleviated now.

That trailer was also leagues above any other Dragon Ball trailer I have ever seen from FUNimation as well... This is shaping up to be FUNimations best Dragon Ball release yet!

Well, their Slayers trailer was in widescreen, but the DVDs were in fullscreen...

I think it's going to be fullscreen though, as I believe the above mentioned scenario was for dramatic effect. Also the picture quality looks pretty good in that trailer (at least as good as YouTube allows).

When the Z boxes were coming out, the Trailers were ALL widescreen. Even when they stopped saying "NOW IN WIDESCREEN" in the trailers, the footage they showed stayed in Widescreen.
GT WASN'T in Widescreen, and then when GT came out, the final product wasn't either.

I have faith that the DB Boxes will stay consistent too.

Also, I hope the characters on the covers stay consistent to the part of the series being covered, unlike the DBZ Sets... seriously... You go through all of the DVDs and they all make sense... then you get to Season Six... and it's like "Ok... Super Saiyan Son... Ok... Gohan would have looked a lot better here, but ok..." and then you get to Season Seven and it's like "Ok wait, WHAT?! Why the Heck is Piccolo here?!?!"

Agreed. I also hope the footage is on par with Z seasons 6-9 (quality wise at least, the colors were a bit dark for my tastes). GT set quality would be nice as well.

I'd contend that even if it does have actual sex in it, it isn't necessarily porn. And that there can be porn without any actual sex. It's not just about the content, but the context and manner in which it's presented as well.

But obviously, Dragon Ball's nudity... that's not porn, that's comedy.

As for the actual topic, if it's 4:3 I'll be getting it. The trailer makes me very hopeful.

I'd rather the sets have 6 discs than 5, but I guess it really does not matter. The brick packaging BETTER have durable plastic this time around so my discs don't fall out.
Gohan: At least he doesn't have his sword out anymore.
Kuririn: Yeah, and your dad put his finger away too.

Not really. The first set of Z stops off halfway through the Orphans in Space filler, using the end of that episode like a "cliffhanger".

I noticed they didn't have any characters talk in this video. I found that amusing.

I think it's because the first episode of Season Two is the first episode that mentions the name "Freeza."

At least FUNi didn't opt for "hardcore" trailers like they did for Z & GT... I've been dreading this since it was announced (and the widescreen issue), looks like I was wrong though. :)

Sweet flaming flapjacks, a trailer!

The trailers for Z and GT presented the shows in the aspect ratio they were going to be on DVD in, so I doubt FUNi's choosing now of all times to false advertise with footage that won't be on the boxsets. That's... kinda illegal.

It's just a YouTube clip, but video quality doesn't seem to be all that bad. I'm not seeing any missing lines, at least. Add in the uncropped fullscreen and I'm pretty much sold. You also gotta love how the only footage used is from the first 13 episodes, plus the whole "your wish has been granted" thing. Nice nod to fans that are "in the know."

Okay.

If these are fullscreen and progressive, despite owning the entire series, I am sold.

But if they are similar to the GT sets (blurry and interlaced) I'll probably pass.

Odd the trailer is put up by the guys who made it for FUNimation and FUNi themselves.

Still, it was awesome.

I'm guessing "Your wish Has Been Granted" may have been a tease to the fans waiting for them to get the episodes uncut. :-D
