Barring Nappa
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

Except Nappa, Kuririn, Chaozu and Piccolo.
I think the asian actors are the only homage to the original version. Seems very much targeted to fans of the english dub.

You know what other live action Dragon Ball adaptation had expensive (relative here) reshoots?

DBE.

I still don't get why they didn't make sure the costumes were up to par before spending all the money on bus travel, the set, and food. The second the first wardrobe guy left, I would have postponed production to give the new guy enough time to put the costumes together. At least more then a weekGranted I have hindsight on my side at this point but I would have made sure everything(costumes, make-up, etc.) was up to par before going on set to shoot. Plus seeing Yamcha's I have ask, why didn't they do a test screening for Saiyans in armor? They said they tried to fix the armor in post but couldn't make it look right. Well that's what the test screenings would have proved before they went in to shoot the final product.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

It's very likely that they couldn't have gotten a refund from the catering company, and shoot location for a week's notice.

Does Yamcha look Massivvely FTL in this pic to anyone ?

What do you mean FTL? For the lose? I don't understand how that's a lose... Have you seen animated Yamcha during that time? It's like they pulled him out of the tv. And that video is just whatever footage to keep us at bay.. He doesn't even do the attack at all during his short lived life against the saibamen..

It's annoying that they're doing another kickstarter for armor they should have had prior the shooting. They should have had backups. The worst of it all is people are just donating to something invisible. How do we know they don't have the armor already? How come they're not showing any of pictures?

I was trying to say that I wouldn't have invested in the catering company or payed to shoot on location until I had everything else lined up. Like costumes, make-up, actors and maybe some early test shots like did with Yamcha. It looks like they did just that until he posted this video about the armor. Like how was that not an early problem?

Well, everything was ready for the shoot, and then the costume designer backed out!

Though one has to question why the costumes weren't already completed by the time the designer backed out. If the person knew they bit off more than they could chew they definitely should've said so earlier.

This is NOT the suit they are going to use, that's the original that is going to be replaced.

But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

My point was to prevent the shitstorm of bitching that they spent the money for this. I know you know that this isn't the one that is going to be used.

There's obviously a lack of experience on K&K's end as far as a major production is concerned. Their previous reels have shown that they have made majority of there business shooting weddings. A few things to note about the filming of a wedding is that it is in no way comparable to a "film" of this size. Films usually have two MAJOR production roles locked down before ANYTHING is done money wise: A Unit Production Manager and a Line Producer. These two key players work hand in hand to tackle all problems such as the one K&K is facing. The Line Producer manages the budget and payroll while the UPM oversees the crew and production to keep everything on track without conflicting with the Line Producer's budget breakdown. Judging from the make-up and wardrobe already released, K&K had little to no professional contacts in these departments. Costume Design and SFX Make Up would be KEY players in making an independent short with such a huge franchise as its source material. No production should have commenced on the Saiyan sequences until the Costume Design was approved. This is unprofessional and shows disorganization in the production. Do not be surprised if they begin to ask for even more money once they realize how much Post Production costs. I've recently wrapped as a UPM on a $100,000 Music Video with minimal visual effects. The Post Production budget was $50,000. No fireballs, no Kamehameha's. They are in for a surprise. It's a good thing that these guys are learning these things. It's just a shame that they're blowing the general public's funding in the process.

The armor is not metal, which makes it look pathetic.

The Freeza race is advance, maybe the metal LOOKS LIKE cotton, but is malleable and sturdy as in the terminator ?
