DBZ portion of Manga to be in full color?!
Re: DBZ portion of Manga to be in full color?!
Freeza's red blast is beautiful
Can't really buy them right now but I'd like them to announce Cell and Boo fast
I suppose they'd be green and pink respectively...

I'm guessing Dodoria is covered in water; my mind immediately went to less savory places.

Funny thing: Cold has his anime colors (well, his tail tip has a skin tone instead of being white, but the rest is the same as the anime) including pink "stripes" in his wrist guards (as opposed to Freeza's manga color scheme with all white guards).

I wonder if the Apocalypse on Namek keeps a green sky all along or if the sky darkens or changes colors as the environment gets more and more chaotic...
I already saw with some Saiyan arc pages and Kame Sennin training moments that they don't hesitate to change the sky color as daytime goes by, it's pretty interesting.

Re: DBZ portion of Manga to be in full color?!
Hey guys,
I know this has probably been asked multiple times, but...
I just recently purchased the Saiyan and Frieza arcs of the full color manga from a Japanes seller on Ebay (Which I am very excited to receive!)
Where would one get the digital release of the full color "Dragon Ball" portion of the manga (The three earlier chapters)?
Any help would be most appreciated.
Cheers!

Via the Amazon Kindle, Shueisha's iOS/Android Jump Book Store, the iTunes store, etc.

It's for Amazon's Kindle so I guess not, but Amazon won't let you buy it if you're from out of Japan.Alpha_Flight wrote:Thank you sir!

BookLive! will let you buy it, but their software is in Japanese (though it's fairly easy to use).

Re: DBZ portion of Manga to be in full color?!
So basically, us living outside of Japan have no way of acquiring the first three chapters?
Re: DBZ portion of Manga to be in full color?!
Can't you just make an account with a Japanese adress and change your IP to a Japanese one?omegalucas wrote:It's for Amazon's Kindle so I guess not, but Amazon won't let you buy it if you're from out of Japan.Alpha_Flight wrote:Thank you sir!

These look absolutely amazing. Just wondering what the best way to purchase these (in print). Buy now or will there be some tankobon/kanzenbans coming out?

Maybe this should be its own topic, or goes in a more appropriate topic, but can you own these digital color versions on a PC or are they limited to smartphones and tablets?

Well, if you can somehow buy them from Amazon Japan for the Kindle, those versions work in the Kindle Reading App for web browsers (I believe that's what it's for). IDK if you can download those though. The chapters being released in the English Weekly Shonen Jump can be read on your computer, but only in a browser, only as a part of the full magazine (Meaning you have to inconveintly flip through the whole thing to get to the chapter), and you can only buy the currently available issue or a subscription to the next 48 (That's how many issues are a year right?).
I was buying issues weekly and was broke one week so I couldn't buy one, now there's a hole in my collection that can't be filled due to not being able to buy back issues. I'll likely just import the Japanese versions if I ever get a new job. It's ridiculous the speed these chapters are releasing in the US compared to Japan. It's not like the localization requires much effort...

Gah,
I can't find anywhere to download the first three "Dragonball" chapters of the Japan only digital release on the Kindle store
I wonder if NA will get them anytime soon?

And I can't believe that now that the Freezer arc is available, we still have not the slightest news and date for the Cell arc.
I think they were pretty fast at promoting the upcoming Freezer arc when we were still at the Saiyans arc, but now they don't even announce a date or show previews for the next arc...
This is weird.

I've noticed they haven't even updated the mangabroadcast page for the digital Freeza arc volumes even though they are up on amazon.jp and itunes.Cold Skin wrote:And I can't believe that now that the Freezer arc is available, we still have not the slightest news and date for the Cell arc.

I wonder how well these are selling. I really hope they do well enough to warrant a physical release of the rest of the arcs.

Look's like Popo's lips were censored in Viz's Jump this week.

It doesn't look that bad but I can't say it doesn't annoy me slightly. You are making it hard to love you Viz.

Can anyone post a screen or two of Kami's Sanctuary from this release; preferably at least one from a distance that shows the full thing and then one from the top?
