NB is on thin ice here, all it will take is a bad tech demo reveal for a lot of people to walk away from yet another flop waiting to happen.

But if a story is perfectly coherent (and I'm really not seeing any compelling arguments that this one is anything but, despite constantly recurring, really poorly reasoned, attempts to argue otherwise), and you're bemoaning the lack of "shine" moments as a reason for the story's poor quality, then you're letting your thirst for "shine" moments obfuscate your ability to detect basic storytelling when it's right in front of you.

Well they have shown that they can make good DBZ games. I think they know that they have to show and prove with this title at E3...3 more days...

If this is a good quality game then i can see them showing it to get as much hype as posible cause e3 is the biggest gaming event of the year unlike japan expo where they showd BOZ and UT
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

And yet there still wasn't a game with a good Buu Saga story shown. Plot important battles are either skipped entirely or shown in short. Vegetto being absorbed by Buu is like only in Ultimate Butouden. In BT1/2/3 the story is just models standing in one place, breathing and moving mouths. Not much change in RB1 and UT either.

Seriously.

No game besides BT2 ever featured Evil Buu vs Fat Buu even though it was a pretty important conflict. Super Buu shouldn't just appear out of no where. I think Evil buu should be considered an equally relevant form as Kid Buu is.

Not to mention also, no game but B3 ever featured Uub as the true ending of the Buu saga despite it being necessary - its less of a concern but its not as if it was fille, but instead, in storymode we get fights like Vegeta vs Cui or Piccolo vs Piccolo.

The fight vs. Uub seems more like a new beginning then an ending. Finishing with Kid Buu's defeat is enough to have a story with a consistent ending.
Buu's Fury also featured the fight vs. Uub, and it was more consistent since once the game finished, a lot a bonus were unlocked (playing with the fusions, ZTV segment with Mr. Satan, etc.)

The first and last screen caps looked so much like Burst limits its eerie. Especially the Perfect Cell Model in the background of cap one, it looks a lot like Dimp's Cell where his skin is so ghost white just like in Budokai 3.

Right, you could definitely see the similarity between Burst Limit and Dragon Ball New Project. I can predict that this is Dimps due to the fact that they always develop a Dragon Ball Z game at the start of each generation. For example, for the ps2 generation, Dimps were the first ones to bring budokai 1 following with Spike's Tenkaichi 1 in 2005. For the ps3 generation, once again Dimps brought Burst Limit in 2008 following with Spikes Raging Blast 1 in 2009. Now to start of with the ps4 generation, I think Dimps is developing this game following Spike next... Again I could be wrong, this is just my prediction.

I bet this game is gonna have a low character roster because it looks like they are using models made from scratch :/
Well as long as the gameplay is A1 i will be happy...

They showed Vegeta, Frieza, Cell and Buu in the first scan were getting a decent sized roster.

This shot looks very Dimps but that's not saying much without actual evidence.

I'd love if Namco Bandai hired Game Republic to make "Dragon Ball: Origins 3", the third and final Dragon Ball of the Origins' series.

I doubt they'll hire a company that doesn't exist anymore.

Hiring Monolith to make a much needed sequel to Attack of the Saiyans, on the other hand, would be awesome. (With more relevant movie villains as secret bosses, though.)

Like the "give us 100k likes for an amazing announcement" I was pretty disappointed with the outcome of it.

The only thing that'd make me interested in this game is if they revealed the devs of it were Dimps, then we'd know we'd be getting a quality game.
I remember how excited I was for that checking their FB page everyday. Never again.

If it goes the 3d route, I'd rather they still use some Battle of Z mechanics. I mean, I really wish the series went the Gundam vs series route (specially now with J-stars and Zenkai). There's something about that fast-paced action with things happening everywhere that fits DBZ so well, much more so than the Tenkaichi series.
