I'm still hoping that the way things are looking for MahoPri that maybe we'll get some help over at Super; but my bigger hunch is what's really happening is some of the Precure resources are actually going to be moved over to Season 3 of Crystal.

They are already spending a lot of money. They have extra sakkans on episodes.

I don't suppose a clipshow episode at some point would buy them enough time to get things more on track/organized?

Not unless it is a good eight clip shows.

Very interesting. How much more expensive would it be to hire more animators? I assume a lot of that depends on the talent of the animator. I think I remember hearing that Yamamuro for instance is pretty expensive.

WOW we're that far off-track? ^^;; Yeah, I definitely believe it.
What an unfortunate scenario this is.

Rookie key animators get $40 a cut. In-betweeners get $2-4 a drawing. The cost would only go up if they were increasing salary staff, which Toei would not do. Shows are made by freelancers and sub-contractors mostly.

The problem is not really money at this point. Just finding available staff is the problem. If scheduling was better then storyboards could be finish and animators could stick around longer instead of moving on to another series to get paid.

Six months would the best case scenario. Super should have started six months later than it did.

Oh cool!

I wonder if they're from new bits that'll replace the Freeza stuff in the OP.

I'm also surprised they kept Cabba slim; Toei seemed to be going out of its way to ignore Toriyama's "the character designs are slim now".

I'm also 90% convinced that Cabba's a man now both because of that recent manga chapter and where his chest armor is hanging. It's too low and too loose to be protecting female breasts.

It certainly looks very promising. I wonder what episode these key drawings are for.

Does Kyabe's hair color in that mean what I think it means?

I love these things. Thanks for sharing.

And that's a good thing. Only because Toriyama style changed, doesn't mean the characters should all look anorexic now. Gohan/Satan are already horrible enough.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota

Cabe's muscules are non-existant lol, just look at those arms. Wonder if that's the design for all U6 Sayians, or he/she's a kid, or there's a more buff transformation for them down-the-line.

Good riddance, at least when it comes to the old cast. Trying to retcon how they look 30 years later is a bad idea.

Mhm. Goku's hair does have some orange around the border but Kyabe's entire hair has the blue color present. Although, given how there are some simple but stark differences, its possible Blooper isn't the God form for U6 Saiyans.

They're just shading guides. The colour isn't to do with what they'll be coloured in the show.

And this is why I should really keep my mouth shut when it comes to production stuff :P
