I am really loving all the work you are putting into this Kaboom. Like seriously you should send this to Toei and demand this be made because it's over 8,000 times better than the GT they made.

Yet again someone says "<X> times better than the original GT!" when I'm not even halfway through the Grand Tour portion of the story yet. I'm flattered but also intensely confused.

And if anyone official over in Japan seemed to give a hoot about GT nowadays beyond scrounging up characters for Heroes, that might be a promising venture.

Thanks. I want and plan to bring back a good handful of older techniques from the series, and the Kaio-Ken was definitely a top-of-the-lister. It's something difficult to master, though, and from a narrative standpoint is kind of limited to main-character prodigy types, and the one person aside from Goku who really fits in that role is Pan.

You seem to also be making Vegeta a SSJ3 based on Super Baby's art, am I right or is Super Baby's hair style just out there ? I'm gonna try and make a complete battle power list for this right now. So far so good too, I've got all the main cast right now. Now I'm just working on the newer characters.

Yep, the form I drew is purposely and explicitly based on Super Saiyan 3, in both appearance and mechanics. The original GT's versions of Baby's forms already were as well, at least loosely (pretty sure the Perfect Files made note of it), but I'm just driving the similarities home a little more.

As far as what that will mean for Vegeta himself...

Come on, I can't spoil plot elements THAT far ahead. I'll just assure you that the problem with Hell you mentioned won't actually be a problem.

Well... GTR's primary purpose is just to be a version of GT that fits better with the original manga. The inclusion of anything else, including even Battle of Gods, is secondary at best. There is and will be small nods to that kind and all kinds of stuff here and there, but they're not going to affect the plot in any significant way. That's the best explanation I can really give.

Super Saiyan God is kind of a huge thing, though. So what I MIGHT do, if I think it necessary, is try to avoid making SSj God a viable option when it could be useful. If I assume that you'd need to gather all 6 Saiyans to re-use the state, it wouldn't be too hard to keep one or two of them unavailable at any given time.

Indeed it is, and I can't wait to see it happen. Cuz I'm betting anything we're all but guaranteed art of the form. Already can't wait to see the artwork you're gonna crank out for everyone's requests this time too Kaboom. I've still got Majoo - *sees the dirty glare* - er, SUPER Oob, saved from last time.

Hey, folks. I'm up way earlier than I thought was possible and have a long day ahead, but I wanted to get SOMETHING posted today. I've still got a few straggling bits of sketches for the Koum arc wrapup that I don't have time to scan, but I can at least slap the "contest" prize-winners spoilery character art on the thread before I go nuts with other things.

For SSJ YUSUKE: General Rild. I took the "mysterious figure wrapped in shadows" approach for this one (and not only because I haven't worked out his exact color scheme yet), but I made sure you could still see most of his details.

For Saiga: "Nyresa Yinglong." This is the reason it's taken so long for me to finish these. Upon coloring a different line art work, I became really dissatisfied with my previous look for this character, so I ended up going to work redesigning her.

For CaBrPi: Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta. ALMOST the same kind of "not liking the way it looked" deal as above, but rather than actually changing the design, I just wanted to do something a little more... quirky.

So you've chosen Super Saiyan 4's eyes to be red, eh? I'd prefer for Goku's eyes to remain yellow as it looks more god-like. Good choice for Vegeta's eyes, though. I like his red eyes rather than blue even though blue is my favorite color.

Yeah... fur should be brown too. And hair yellow.

If the fur is gonna be brown, just keep the hair black. My ideal SSJ4 is just brown fur, black hair, red eyes, and no eye liner. Make the Aura reminiscent of SSJ3 though with maybe an orangish tint. Red lightning might be cool too.
