Only because of your attempts to derail it.
On topic, I think this script that Jappo posted was poorly written. I honestly don't see it being a final version, as Fox would most definitely attempt to Americanize it. I doubt terms like "ki" and the like will be in the theatrical version.

I hope you realize it was a REVIEW. I said it wasn't word for word for legal reasons, but apparently that wasn't good enough.
(But all the names were as they appeared in the script. Ki, Nyiobou, etc.)

I'd actually expect them to keep those terms. It's not like they're under any obligation to follow FUNimation or Viz's choices in such things.

You did post some small excerpts. Plus, you said certain "lines" were from the script word-for-word. And that the terms were in the script itself also.
So yes, I can read

The director said he read the manga, not watched the anime. I can only assume they followed the manga.

Okay, this might very shocking but I actually have something to discuss about the movie. People have been making theories about this eclipse which seems to be a big deal in the movie. People say that Goku will transform at the eclipse. Others say they you can only use the dragonballs *during* the eclipse.
Anyway, I got a little theory of my own about that. Remember what happens when someone uses the dragonballs in the manga? The sky turns dark while it's day.. like an.. eclipse! So maybe Chatku meant "We have to find the dragonballs before the eclipse" because if the sky turned dark, it would mean someone else would be wishing by then.
Am I thinking too much about this? I'm hoping for too much aren't I?

I think it's safe to say this but this alone: that's not accurate.

No way you could have gleaned that from the story, for sure.
Anyway, the bits of actual script we read were
very badly written as I'm sure were the things JAPPO merely
explained. They certainly seemed so. I also seriously doubt the final product will differ much, if at all. This whole thing has been a terrible joke from the first bits of info we saw, to the leaked pics, to the trailer, and now to this script. It's such a lazy attempt at making a movie of any kind, let alone a faithful adaptation of Dragon Ball. And no, I don't mean panel for panel. I mean something that even remotely resembles Dragon Ball. If I want to watch a terrible excuse for a Spider-Man movie, I'll watch Spider-Man.
As for JAPPO's attention seeking game, pretty much everything I wanted to say has been said. The whole carrot dangling
"I've got this awesome inside info that I shouldn't tell you about... *wait for people to beg* Okay, here it is!" nonsense is really annoying. Though, I guess these types of posts don't help much, as they're giving him the attention he's seeking.

It’s not hard to mimic, but it is hard to mimic
well. The difference between professional and newbie attempts is obvious if you know what to look for. And both the dialogue and scene directions seem to suggest to me that whoever wrote it has written a successful script before, or at least went to school for it. If it is indeed a fake, why would this person spend his or her valuable time on it, making sure everything checks out with the released information? And for
Dragonball, no less? JAPPO isn’t
that much of a glory hog. If he were a faker his information would have turned out untrue a long time ago; he has no reason to stake his credibility by starting now.

Being cautious isn't seeking attention. But you're right that I probably shouldn't even mention it... but it's hard not to.

Poorly written, for a
book maybe, but not for a screenplay.

I'ma side with Jappo here actually... if you had exclusive information about something exciting (at least to you), wouldn't ya wanna share it?
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
For some reason a lot of people here seem to dislike you and revel in your misfortune. Not everyone feels that way.
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.
