Well the previous two games were announced in the May V-Jump so I guess from any time onwards of... well, today, we should have incoming news if it's coming out.

I hate to sound like a Negative Nancy, but do you think the cancelation of Kai will effect whether RB:3 ever comes out? That, and do you think the tripple-fold disasters that occured in Japan will effect anything? Now, granted, the cancelation of a TV show by a seperate company seems like it would have little to do with what Bandai/Namco does with their games... but it's a market indicator, and quite frankly didn't RB:2 kind of tank in the sales department?

I sort of hope it comes out though. I don't care if they add any new characters or not, they need to fix the engine and make it at least as good as Sparking 2.

I doubt it would have any effect, TV shows are a trivial matter when considered how much money is made from merchandise. Dragonball merchandise has always, always sold very well and this is why we've always had a arcade game (i.e Dragonball Heroes) and usually one Dragonball game a year on a 'main' console.

So lets look at sales:
Raging Blast - 990 201 units sold
Raging Blast 2 - 461 800 units sold

For this reason I doubt we'll see a third game.

However, assuming they go by market trends Tenkaichi outsold the second game in the series by one heck of a lot but then Tenkaichi 3 outsold the first game by double. So they may release a third hoping it gets bought more than the second but they may just cut their losses and leave it.

This is one reason I don't really like to compare numbers until the series of games is completed, as I know a lot of people who specifically didn't buy RB2 because they expected the improved third version to be released this year and intended to buy that instead. I still buy each game, but I completely understand their logic, why buy an incomplete product each year before the final version is released.

As you said, we'll just have to wait and see what they intend to do: expect this trend and release the sequel, or cut their losses.

Yeah... merchandise that has a TV show to prop it up and remind the audience about it :).

Except for that whole "the merchandise has been on a downward spiral for over four years now" thing.

I wouldn't hold my breath, folks. There may be one. There may not be. There's certainly plenty of reasons for there not to be.

I think we are better off seeing Zenkai Battle Royale on the 360 and PS3 soon this year or early next year then a 3rd RB. Or they could take a break from Dragon Ball games, and do a totally new game in the next three or four years from now.

Zenkai's system is compatible with the PS3 but not 360.

Maybe they will make Zenkai Battle Royale for the PS3/360, and call it Raging Blast 3?

^Maybe they will throw in the Budokai title in it if it gets a US release?

I wonder what the trade-in value for RB2 is (I'm not going to trade it in, just wondering). I know the trade-in value for RB1 was $13.50.

The trade-in value at amazon is $27.25, and according to cheapassgamer, its street value is $37.

Just got the game, what can i say: for sure, better than Raging Blast 1!

The Hatchiyack movie is nice, and the gameplay & graphic is ok! Only 1 thing disappointment: no story mode

I just don't understand 1 thing: why they don't put anymore in the DB games a mode like Build-Up Mode of DragonBall Final Bout for PSX? It was very nice...

So, apparently the score got changed for the newer American versions of the game:

They brought back the replacement score for BT2. My copy of RB2 may be broken, so if
I go buy a new one, I'll have to confirm it.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

I usually could tell, when I use replacement music from the X-Box it runs constantly, eh, even though I got tricked, ah well, haha. Just a dumb moment on my part I guess.
