Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I thinks thats the second time, in all my years watching anime, that I have ever seen someone break the rules and attack someone mid-overthetoptransformastion. The first being Diaboromon in the digimon movie.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
All the universes are really fodder except U6, U7, Jiren and maybe Brianne..at this point i think that in the end Jiren will beat many of them alone, just for hype and other shit (except Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Hit etc of course).
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I can't help but feel like #17's personality is drastically different from what it was like in the original series, but I must say I like this interpretation more.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
We need some more strong guys to fight. We're running out of options. We have a 9 fighters left, most of them are strong. Will Jiren KO everyone but Gohan and Goku?

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
The NEP and the spoilers for next episode seem weird to me. The NEP shows Gohan fighting Botamo and warriors from Universe 2 before getting attacked by what looks like
the 2 Namekians of U6
. Yet they are supposed to fight the last 2 members of U10 too? Seems like the episode is going to be rushed from the looks of it. The descriptions of the spoilers and such make it seem like these last two U10 fighters are going to be tough. It doesn't seem that way though...
Still, I guess we just need to wait and see.

He's the same, just calmer than before. 13 years have passed after all, he matured.Doctor. wrote:I can't help but feel like #17's personality is drastically different from what it was like in the original series, but I must say I like this interpretation more.
This episode was awesome, 17 stole the show.

There are still a hell of a lot of fighters left. Don't count them as fodder until we see them really throw down.Legion wrote:All the universes are really fodder except U6, U7, Jiren and maybe Brianne..at this point i think that in the end Jiren will beat many of them alone, just for hype and other shit (except Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Hit etc of course).

Nah, he was just as bland back then. Difference is back then, he actually did emote when people got hit in on himDoctor. wrote:I can't help but feel like #17's personality is drastically different from what it was like in the original series, but I must say I like this interpretation more.

So ep. 103 implies 17's gonna win against Kakunsa... I hope not, I've had enough of fodders, the trio needs to last way longer.
Also, Ribrianne vs 17, Goku vs Jimizu and Jilkol (U10 blue guy) vs Ribrianne.
Ep 104 implies Gohan won against U10 which is annihilated. So predictable, even if the leaks are fake (Of course, the only two universes doing something are U6 and U7, how boring).
Plus, Hit vs Dyspo (so predictable). It said something about Time-skip, maybe Dyspo rivals it? Let's see.
Ep 105 might be something about Roshi and "sealing" someone (Mafuuba?) but I'm not so sure. And he's up against Cawey from U4.
Interesting, I wonder how Gohan will react by him having an active role in a universe erasure. Also I won't miss Gowasu, he made a lot of mistakes and U10 Hakaishin is nothing but a incompetent, they brought that to theirselves.
And sorry but I don't think Hit vs. Dyspo is that "predictable"

I think that 17 showed more personality tonight than in the recruitment episodes. Him being a troll toward his opponents is the perfect persona for him instead of just being a serious fighter. .Doctor. wrote:I can't help but feel like #17's personality is drastically different from what it was like in the original series, but I must say I like this interpretation more.

I too like it. He's very no-nonsense this time around. Definitely prefer it to cocky 17.Doctor. wrote:I can't help but feel like #17's personality is drastically different from what it was like in the original series, but I must say I like this interpretation more.
U7 legitimately is just too stacked. When half of your team are on the SSB level class, then you know you're stacked. Only a handful of other fighters will even be able to stand up to them (among them from what we know - Jiren and Toppo). I agree that they'll likely have Jiren in a few episodes clean house with a few fighters. Though I honestly see him wrecking at least one or two of the SSB level fighters (Vegeta, Freeza, or Hitto I feel at least one of them is going to get wrecked by him). Of course, there's always the chance some of these other fighters we haven't seen yet are powerful too. I am pretty confident though that U7 has overall the strongest team. U6's lucky break is that they're pretty much the deuteragonist universe here.Legion wrote:All the universes are really fodder except U6, U7, Jiren and maybe Brianne..at this point i think that in the end Jiren will beat many of them alone, just for hype and other shit (except Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Hit etc of course).

Well back in the day he was a punk kid with lots of power and nothing to work towards, a rebel without a cause and no memory of his passed.Doctor. wrote:I can't help but feel like #17's personality is drastically different from what it was like in the original series, but I must say I like this interpretation more.

In fact, Freeza already did it in episode 24, before Goku turns into SSB.Lord Frieza wrote:I thinks thats the second time, in all my years watching anime, that I have ever seen someone break the rules and attack someone mid-overthetoptransformastion. The first being Diaboromon in the digimon movie.

FANTASTIC EPISODE
Seriosuly, great job this time. My only problem is that, like during all the damn tournament, Goku is going around in base instead of SS. That and that the Kamikaze Fireballs are weaker than I expected.
Also, RIP Gowasu/ Gawass. You will always be our favourite Godtuber. Please drink a last cup of tea and say "Zamasu did nothing wrong" while looking bad at your weak team of ningens before you die.

The first half of this episode was meh.... They could have sped up that joke of the magical girls transforming while 17 attacking them. The jokes weren't funny at all too.
MVP of this episode is 17 though, attacks while someone is transforming, and handles his business against fodder that try to attack him.
39 minutes left in the tournament? I get that the characters are moving incredibly fast, but the endless conversations should be eating up the time more.
NEP looks awesome, I'm hoping those universe six Namekians make their debut soon.

Gowasu dropped the ball not using his time ring to bring Goku Black to this tournament. His universe is trash.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
This episode had me on the floor laughing hysterically like a lunatic. Especially when 17 attacked those Sailor Moon esque characters mid transformation and Toppo joining in with his Justice Pose.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
If you think about it, the strongest person in U7 would've been Frieza or Buu. If this tournament was held while Goku didn't make an appearance, then U7 truly would've been one of the first ones out. It's all due to Goku and Vegeta that everyone Is this strong.Jigurashi wrote:I too like it. He's very no-nonsense this time around. I think U7 overpowering everyone due to being the second lowest mortal level is a testimony that their "mortal level" ratings might be flawed. The Grand Priest Has definitely taken a liking to Goku and his universe. So I'm not surprised that they are the underdogs.
How i predict the tournament will end:
