I'm happy SSG will make a return.. I actually liked it way better than Blue. I don't know but Blue doesn't really seem like a step beyond God, rahter, one step back... Considering feats, Blue is a let-down, even the simple SS performs better.

Maybe the new transformation is something like your avatar. So Goku grows a tail again + SSjGod = New form.

I always felt like the silhouette of the Original SS-God makes a refence to Vegeta's family tree... That why it has a lifted-up haircut.

We saw Tagoma beat Roshi, Tien with everyone.
And then Ssj Gotenks came and put Tagoma to the ground with one shot.
The show has already showed that Gotenks is superior to Roshi.

And base Goku also destroyed Roshi with a kamehameha.

Arcs later we see Gotenks being trashed by Base Copy Vegeta who should be equal Base Goku, then Goku was on even terms with Roshi, needed Chatzous help to distract Yurin and then fire a kamehameha on a defenseless Roshi, remember that being caught offguard has been 100% effective in DBS.

Gotenks will never return because Toei buried him completely.

None, Kale and Caulifla beat him in a beam clash after getting their assess kicked by the pride troopers (He was fighting 17 at the time). I wouldn't really call it Jobbing

I don't think Roshi can really no sell Gotenks, I just think it's funny how people can say that and theirs actual evidence of it. I will say though that your example really doesn't apply, however, since that was before Roshi had his super secret totally legit off-screen training. Basically what people say is Master Roshi surpassed Gotenks with his off-screen training that he apparently had leading into episode 89. The idea of Master Roshi somehow being stronger than Gotenks is hilarious to me, especially since he would have had to have done the training between the end of resurrection F and the universal survival tournament, so a few years. Did he get some regular old weights like Krillin? Because apparently that helps a lot.

Honestly though it's not out of the realm of possibility that Roshi beats Gotenks, because Gotenks and by extension, Goten and Trunks have been completely trashed and have pretty much been demoted to Yamcha status with semi-powerful foes.

Toei are the one who gave Gotenks screen time ROF, and they are the one who gave Goten screen time in the Black arc, when Trunks and Goten wanted to go to the future to help Trunks.

Base Goku completly beat Roshi too, it isn't because he was helped that he needed the help.

U10 continue to be a disappointing,I would have preferred if they were first one to be erased,they mention something about jirasen,he is supposed to be a narcissist and a magazine mentioned he is a key player.guess what they did to him,he got eliminated quickly by Brianne with out showing his ability or his supposedly narcissist personality, the Top is atrocious with the adverstisement,is like they have no clue what there doing

I think you might have misunderstood. Commeson isn't Yurin. Commeson is the jelly substance, Which steals and amplifies power. It stole Vegetas power and amplified it is what he meant, not Yurin stole Roshi's power and amplified it.

Sure. But that's an inconsistency at worst. One of those ones that screams "This is filler and we don't care about it all that much". I'm 98% its a joke and I would never want to ruin the fun, but using it as evidence that Roshi can beat SSJ3 Gotenks is ridiculous.

Because everyone likes using that arc as an excuse against Super but conveniently forgets it establishes Comméson amplifies power. It not being a Toriyama arc goes without saying, of course, so just using it to prove any kind of point is dishonest.

No the idea that the "superhuman water" amplified strength was just a rumor. It made perfect copies and took the abilities of whatever it absorbed.

Yeah, I thought Jirasen was going to be used for something more, as a comic relief, at least for one minute, it's not that much to ask. Karoni got that in the Cell game fillers, this guy looked exactly like him. But no, eliminated with zero screentime. Disappointing, like the rest of U10, except Napapa.

Now that I think about it, it makes sense that roshi was picked over trunks/goten. I used to think it was because goten/trunks were stronger that they should be in the ToP. But now seeing as to how roshi is slightly stronger than gotenks, with the addition of battle experience and more developed techniques, he's a no brainer.
