It's good to have characters that were hardly around not in a video game since it's a waste of space.

I've always noticed the differences because the inconsistency annoys me (specifically the pants being colored in the second time), though I'm not sure if it's actually intended to be a case of different forms, or just Toriyama being his forgetful self...
Well, the first one was Piccolo+Goten+Trunks, while the second was just Piccolo. So them looking different makes sense.

I'm aware if the internal make-up of the Buu forms, and I admit it could have been intentional to represent that. With Toriyama's track record though, I just wouldn't be surprised if he screwed up the second time around because he didn't remember what he did the first time and didn't bother to check. I mean, we have panels throughout the manga with characters in the wrong outfits, wrong haircuts, etc.

I think he screwed up by coloring the pants. As for having a shirt and no defined fingers, I could see that happening because the second time the only absorvee is Piccolo.

People are still worried about that? I thought it was final that it wasn't gonna have 1vs1. Oh well, get over it. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 didn't let you go solo(i.e. you needed to have at least one support), and I didn't see much complaints about that back then.

Besides, the gameplay doesn't even look like you can go solo anyway, cuz of how big the stages are. Even the "precious" J-Stars and ZBR don't look like that either.

Thats completely different. Even though you had to have a support character in Ninja Storm 1 you didnt have to use them in battle. Battle of Z forces team work.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

In J-Stars and ZBR it works more like Super Smash Bros. in 3D visual aspect, i.e, all against all whereas in BoZ it's split to two teams, although JS/ZBR probably have it too (I've seen that ZBR does via YouTube videos).

Still doesn't change the fact that there were complaints about them not being able to fight alone and being forced to put at least one support. Even though there weren't that much, there still were.

Excuse me, but what defines hardcore? Is it knowledge of Dragonball and it's games, because it's safe to say that everyone on this site fits that category. Is it length on this site, because I have you beat and I think this game has way more positive than negative things going for it. Or is it just the same for people over and over again who like to bring up how unhappy they are at this game, every three pages or so?
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

And...wait...what...wha...what the hell did they do to Super Saiyan Trunks (last one on the third row)?! ._o

I do appreciate the variety of facial expressions though. Wouldn't mind having a larger copy of that Kuririn face eventually.
I'm not trying to single you out specifically, you were just the latest person to ask about Trunk's hair. Personally I thought it was obvious, but since a lot of people keep bringing it up I thought I'd might as well just make a picture demonstrating why it looks that way:
It's normal, it just didn't fit in the box properly.

This is his normal appearance correct?
What up with his hair...?

The lack of 1v1 is bothersome. More often than not, battles in the series were solo. I'm more than happy to have the option to go 1/2/3/4v1/2/3/4, but to be forced into a full 4v4 match... I can see myself getting very bored with that and not wanting to go through the trouble of selecting eight characters every time I want to fight. That's one reason I rarely do tag matches in the Spike games, because I honestly can't be bothered to take the time to select that many characters each time.

I'm still going to give it a chance (via demo), but the more that is revealed about the game, the more my interest wains. I still like the fact that there are new animations and that Birus/Whis/Super Saiyan God are included, though...

At best, the character models are passable. They range from passable to atrocious. Even so, the best ones are still... derpy.
I don't give two shits about the roster. I'm trying to not be spoiled by the past or let previous games color my opinion of a new game series by a new developer... but some of these things are pretty unforgivable. I still hold out a glimmer of hope that the gameplay will redeem these flaws (as it ought to--graphics really shouldn't be a factor--or, at least, they should be low on a list of what makes a game good)... but if I find an incomplete game, as has always happened in the past with new Dragon Ball game series since 2002, I'll wait for the inevitable sequel which advertises amazing new features never before seen in a Battle of Z game such as something called in-game transformations, 1v1 matches and offline multiplayer. Honestly. Twelve years on, and we're still dealing with this tripe. Namco Bandai are sociopaths.
I was Thanos before the MCU existed!

Seriously...Why did they decide to go back to Early Day PS2 Graphics?
RB2's graphics where ALMOST perfect. EASILY the best of any DBZ related game yet.
(I know others will say otherwise, but they'll be wrong. I know my art.)
