I'd definitely love to see him fight. So far he's been a comedic character akin to how we saw Kame Sennin prior to him bulking up and getting serious that time. I think it'd be pretty amazing to see Whis' power at least once just to solidify just how strong he is to the audience.

I think we will see him fight. I'm pretty sure they eluded to his strength in Battle of Gods for the sole purpose of building up anticipation to see him fight in the next (this) film. I mean, even before this Revival of [F] was a thing, I felt they were setting up something with Whis.

That doodle is a theory, not news. It's no different than me theorizing that Vegeta gets blue ssjg power because he's got that lightning paired with magenta lightning on Gokû and Gokû's ssjg hair is magenta. I just happened to draw something this time.
If they weren't going to source me, I'd at least wanted then to source the Kanzenshuu thread I posted it in. ^^; Ah well.

Edit: Checked the twitter. My Whis drawing has my handwriting on it at least. They thought it was someone in Japan who drew it if I read the tweet right? I've been doing my own lettering on my comics and doodles instead of using the text tool for a while now. It'll match up with the handwriting on my DA page's stuff.

It would be disappointing if he turns out to be a weakling, but we still want an idea of what he can do.

Yeah, it allowed Goku to beat up Majin Buu and placate him into waiting around for a strong fighter long enough for Toriyama to make up/flesh out the fusion narrative.
